Rated 2 out of 5 by from OK bike, but weak gears/power I purchased this bike a month ago from my local Dick's. I was looking for something (1) lightweight, (2) large enough for my frame (I am 6'3" 200 lbs), and (3) that I could use to commute around the city. Initially this bike appeared to meet all of my criteria. However, after taking the bike out for a few rides I noticed that even in the 7th gear this bike performs like a normal bike would in the 2nd or 3rd gear. At first I thought maybe there was an issue with the gears or shifting but to my surprise I was later told by a Dick's store employee that the bike itself was "a weak bike." This is far from the quality/performance that I expected.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bad Crank pedal bearings I bought this bike on sale, notcied it was constantly making a clicking noise while pedaling, after riding more that a couple of miles the click turned into a clunk which could be felt in the saddle. Turns out the bearings in the crank were bad. Dicks replaced the bike & the new bike had the same issue but even worse. Dicks was very kind in returning the bike & I bought another brand for not too much more money. A Schwinn bike just isn't what it once was.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from You get what you pay for I bought this bike in store, already assembled.. I took it out for a spin the next day. After a few miles, I decided to switch through all of the gears. After I switched to lower gears, I was unable to switch back to the higher gears because the derailleur cable had slipped. I do not blame the design of the bike for the cable coming loose; I blame the assembler. I re clamped the cable to get it working properly again, however, analyzing the design of the derailleur a bit more I realized "you get what you pay for"; fairly poor design. Since Dick's does not allow for the return of bicycles, it looks like I am stuck with my purchase (for now). After I adjusted the derailleurs, I noticed that when pedaling heavy, the crank makes unpleasant noises. I now have to look into this. I suppose if the bike was assembled by pros and assembled properly, there is a chance the bicycle would be just fine for it's low cost. I don't feel the quality of this bike will get me many miles, however.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for tall riders (20" model) Bought this bike a year ago for my daughter in college. She's 6 feet with long legs and most bikes (even men's) didn't fit her. The 20" bike fit great and she loves it. My son liked it so much we bought him one as well. I did take a star away as it's had a couple of small repair issues but generally it was a good investment for the low price. It sits in the rain at school as there is no covered bike parking and has held up relatively well so I'd recommend it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice bike, bearings are a bit noisy More like 3 1/2 stars. Rides well, looks nice. Shimano gear components are a nice bonus at the price. Weight is ok, but on the heavy side. Only negative so far is noisy, juddery shifting and bearings sounding like they’re sub par. Hard to get a smooth sounding pedal. Overall price wise still a decent deal.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Fun Have been riding this bike a week and enjoy the energy it creates. Easily rides down flat surface, gears are great going up hill. Front derailleur control on the handlebar needs repair already. Fun times.Just as easy with online purchase, bike was in stock, apprehensive to return for warranty work just on enjoyment so far. Hopefully not many or no issues arise further.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great bike except for the saddle that came with it. I purchased this bike when about three weeks now and I have to say that I am satisfied with my purchase. So far, I have taken it in more one occasion on a 30 mile bike run and still works great. The only problem is the saddle that came with it provides great discomfort in my behind. Thinking that it will all go away that area in the between the "tea bag" and "donut hole" really hurts after riding it for 30 miles. I have to purchase a new saddle which is more comfortable than the one that came with it.
