Beautiful Product

It’s good if you are ridding in trail I bought it for my summer ride

Not Good On Heritage Trail!

I bought this bike a year ago and if your using it on mountains it might be okay. If you're a casual rider on trails not so good. It is a heavy bike...Price is great but that's all, it's for sale if anyone is interested. Half price!!!

Do Not Buy

Bought a mens schwinn fremont bike from dicks. They assembled. Had to bring it back 4 times until they finally gave me a refund. Could not get it into gear fully. Took me months and endless jours on the phone to get the actual refund. NIGHTMARE!!!!!!

Great Bicycle

This bicycle was wonderful and the price paid at Dick's was a great value for the money. I would highly recommend purchasing this bicycle, and buying it at Dick's Sporting Goods. The store has friendly and knowledgeable staff that are willing to assist you on your purchase

Nice Bike Overall

I have put 60 miles on the bike so far. It took a few rides to vet most of the kinks worked out and adjustments made. I suggest taking some tools with you to adjust the seat, neck, and handlebars. They worked loose by the end of first two 20-mile rides. Now good. I have one problem still to work out. The gears and or the chain will slip occasionally in some if the middle gears when under load, like going up a steep hill standing up. I am avoiding those gears until I can try to adjust things, or get it looked at. Overall, I like the bike. Large frame is great for tall person (6'1"). Add a better seat if you have a bad back.

Like! Exactly What I Wanted.

I bought the bike a week ago and have been riding it daily, about 10-18 miles a day. I use it for exercise as I was getting tired of going to the gym. I was looking for a comfortable bike and I wanted one with a suspension as I have arthritis, and pounding/jarring can cause a flair up. I was worried it would be very heavy due to the suspension as you cannot trust the weight in the specs on bikes. I weighed it and it is 34.5 lbs. Better than I thought as I was expecting 38/40 lbs. To get down to mid-twenties, I would probably need something carbon fiber and expensive, especially if I keep the front suspension. Dick's did a good job at assembly. I get a little rubbing on the front derailer on extreme settings front to rear- but easy to live with as that really means I should shift the front derailer- the manual says to avoid opposite extremes front to rear on the sprockets. Maybe will go to an expensive and light carbon fiber bike in a few years if I stay with it. Maybe not. This bike is very good. The front suspension is simple, no hydraulics, just a spring and some friction. Non-adjustable. Which is ok for a hybrid bike. No jumping, just there to smooth out the ride which it does nicely. I was worried that the spring preload was too high and that it was just running on the stops. I put a magnet on the chrome tube above the seal so I could tell if the suspension was moving. I was surprised to see that it was moving a lot. Riding over normal expansion joints on the street, I was getting an inch of movement. On smooth pavement, at least .5 inches. Off on wood chipped trails, 1.5 to 1.7" movement. That tells me it is doing exactly what it should be doing and softening a lot of jarring motions. I weigh 170 lbs for reference. The gear ratios are perfect for me. The lowest ratio (which I use on some really steep hills as a last resort), is down to walking speed. No need for anything lower, as you should really be walking the bike up the hill if slower. The top speed makes 20 mph possible depending on your conditioning, maybe 25, plenty fast for my needs. Gear changer works well. All in all, very happy.

Nice Riding Men’s Bike

One tire tube kept popping until the repair person used a smaller tube. Also the tires were a little wider than I like so i replaced the tires. And now the brake cable holders broke.

Good Bicycle.

I ordered this bike online and picked it up one of the local Dick's stores. The bike is good quality and finished well. The assembly was not up to anybody's standards and didn't really surprise me. The handlebars were crooked. The front derailleur was not aligned properly. The brake shoes were not aligned properly. The optional rear kickstand was not installed properly. There was a popping sound in the crank. I removed the crank and found aluminum shavings. The bearings and shaft had no visible damage. I cleaned the bearings and repacked them and reinstalled everything to factory specs. Now, with all of this corrected, I like the bike a lot. I have ridden it about 40 miles. It fits my needs well. Just be prepared to make some basic repairs before you ride it.

2 Schwinn Bike Purchases

Both bikes, gave use a big upgrade vs our old bikes. Schwinn product is feeling solid and enjoying our daily rides. Rick our sales person was excellent, finding the second bike, by calling other Dicks stores and keeping us informed

Okish Bike, Worse Experience In-store

Last review got deleted for being overly-critical, so I'll tone it down a bit. Took me FIVE trips to the store to get this bike, and in working order. Go to an actual bike store and don't deal with the people that work here. The shifting on the bike is pretty poor, and numerous people in-store weren't able to fix, among other issues.

Good Value For A Great Bike!

I bought this bike as a graduation present for my son. He is 6'5" and we wanted to find a bike that fit him. He isn't a competitive biker and he wanted a bike that would spend 95% of its time on paved surfaces around the neighborhood, but could still handle itself should the occasional "off-roading" opportunity present itself. This bike checked all those boxes and he is very excited to have a bike that fits him.
