SCS inserts first debuted in the 2025 Studio Style lineup after extensive testing to find the optimal combination of material and milling. Carbon steel, which has a greeter damping capacity than metal inserts like Teryllium, stainless steel and aluminum, softens sound by limiting the duration of the tone of the strike.
