Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not bad at all Bought this for my kayak. Though it is plastic it does not feel cheap. It actually is quite durable and will fit a variety of rods. My only con is that it did not come with hardware to mount it. I had to make a trip out to the hardware store and spend another $2.50 on stainless hardware.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Sturdy but lacking I mounted this rod holder to my kayak. It did not come with any mountain hardware so I had to dig through my tool kit and hope I had a few screws that fit. I used it on my first fishing trip and was catching fish almost every cast. I left the rubber security latch open and was easily able to grab the rod to set the hook and place the rod back when needed. It is very sturdy when mounted and I never had to worry about the plastics breaking. When it was paddling and trolling I was disappointed to find this rod holder does not have the capacity to swivel like others I have. This limits your ability to run your line off different sides of your kayak or canoe. This is the reason ill be returning the rod holder. It gets 5 stars for quality or workmanship but 2 stars because it will not swivel and does not come with mounting hardware.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best on the market The best on the market. I have 4 of them mounted on my tandem kayak and they get used all the time. Never a single problem with them. Fully adjustable; means I can angle the rods out while trolling lures, angle them forward while paddling or angled vertically while casting a lure or live bait. Very easy to install! Would recommend to anyone and everyone!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great product, can get stuck and cause a lot of noise getting adjusted in the kayak Works great, perfect for trolling or having bait out without having to babysit it.Can get a little stuck, its a tight fit with the mounting hadware, adjusting the rod holder up and down is very easy, adjusting left to right requires noise and force.Overall great product, just fits very tightly into the mounting bracket

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Thumbs up bought 2 to mount on my kayak and did so using a dry wall type installation with stainless steel screws. Works great has multiple adjustments for 360degree movement plus up and down. Only draw back found is they are less secure for spinning reels vs bait casting. They fit in the holster nicely but unable to lock in.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fine! Purchased this for my new kayak. Serves it purpose good, I use a spinning rod with it.Just check the grip diameter of your rod to make sure it will fit. The but end cap fitting of one of rods rubs going in and out.....a little too tight, but will work fine with all others. I shopped around, good pricing at Dick's.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best rodholder for kayaks and boats I have used this rodholder in several different configurations on several different kayaks. The available assortment of mounts makes this rodholder super versitile. You see this rodholder on just about every kayak and there is a reason! It's Great!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Scotty rod holder does the job, once you buy the screws Mounted it to the cockpit of my Field and Stream kayak very easily. Only down side is that you have to buy the screws separately which isnt a problem but they should be included. Works well as a simple rod holder for spinning rods.
