Rated 5 out of 5 by from use by a senior citizen I bought mine a couple of years ago but due to illness I was not able to try it until this year, 2017. I am 79 years old and yes, the first try I ended up in the lake with the first dip of the paddle. I did try it again and did a little better. We were camped on a lake so I had plenty of time to retry it. The next day I learned how to enter the kayak, how to paddle and mostly, how to keep my balance. Also, how to exit the boat. Since then there has been no stopping me. I was thinking about selling it and getting a hard shell kayak but now you can't take it away from me. It folds and stores in a motorhome compartment and will go everywhere I go in the MH. Now ready to try it in rougher water.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good for lakes I bought this kayak a few years ago for fishing on Cheat Lake, and for fun on the Cheat River here in West Virginia. It's a fun little boat, but is a far cry from the performance of a hard shell kayak. If the wind blows, plan on doing A LOT of corrective paddling!!! If you ever have to paddle up river, just be prepared for ONE HECK OF A WORKOUT!!! Other than that, it's fairly comfortable for float trips and fishing on the river! You can even fall asleep in this thing. I wouldn't recommend this for the solo paddler, ya better take a friend along for the trip, that will make your adventure more bearable!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great 1st kayak I bought this to take the kids out in lakes and maybe the ocean. So far I've only had out on a calm lake and I loved it. It has good balance and good speed on the water. It's my first kayak but so far it's been great. It's easy to inflate and deflate. It has a little weight to it when you're carrying around but not too bad at all. But check the weight and make sure you're comfortable lugging it around. It comes with a bag and strap to carry it in. It's nice because there's plenty of room in the bag to get it back in, it's not like trying to stuff a tent in a redicously tight bag.As with any inflatable you need to re-inflate when you get back home to thouroghly dry it out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from set up in minutes I bought this before our vacation because I wanted a kayak that I could set up myself. I would not be able to put a regular kayak on my car, so inflatable seemed like the way to go. It is super easy to set up. When you set it up the first time you have to put a ring around each valve. It's a pain but not difficult and you only do that once. The foot pump is easy. The double valves keep air from coming out as you detach the pump. Once we got it out on the lake I was pleased with the stability and handling. I never felt unsafe. My son even jumped out of it while I was in it and it wasn't tipsy at all. Let it dry fully before rolling it up. I'm super happy with this purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exactly what we were looking for We did a lot of research before buying this inflatable kayak. It did not disappoint. It is very well made and comes with everything but the life vests. Not wanting to hoist a hard shell kayak atop our car and not having anywhere to store a hard shell anyway, this is the perfect solution for us. It inflates quickly. The 370 is well worth the extra cost for the deluxe seats and extra length for two people, with room for our small cooler and our Yorkie. It deflates very quickly when packing up. The foot pump is easy to use. The one inconvenience is we always take it back out when we get home to dry it off really good as we've read reviews of mildew if packed when wet. However, that is a trade off for us that is worth it to not transport a hard shell atop the car. This kayak gets us out on the lake that we otherwise would not be able to do. It's very sturdy and reviews say it does well going over rocks, etc., but we still steer clear of downed branches in the lake for fear of puncture, after all, it is an inflatable. But this is a real boat, not a pool toy. We had to do some research and watch YouTube videos on tandem paddling as our first time out was not a success. But since the first time, we have done very well and had a great time. Apparently, tandem kayaks are nicknamed "divorce boats"! However, it's easy once you realize the front paddler sets the pace and the back paddler follows that pace, but also is in charge of steering. Paddling is more work if it's very windy, which might be a trait of inflatables. Tracking is good, especially if you follow the directions to straighten the skegs if they are bent from packing. We are very happy with this purchase and plan to explore all the area lakes and reservoirs this summer. We might venture out on the local river at some point. We would highly recommend this kayak.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice! Better than I expected I was hesitant about the 370 for fear that it would be tough to paddle, thinking it would be more like a canoe. I was Happily surprised at how well it goes, similar to a 'hard' kayak, it does go in a straight line, provided you know how to paddle. The entire package (kayak, seats, paddles, pump and bag) weigh about 50 pounds, so park near your launch point if possible. The included pump works well, a little bit of a workout to inflate. I hope the pump and kayak are durable and last.Tips: Ensure you inflate it on 'safe' ground, not over sharp rocks, sticks, glass, etc. I bring a tarp just in case I need it to put on the ground before inflating. We took our first trip in a lake with a heavy film of pollen. Kayak sides where all brown and dirty, so I had to re-inflate and clean it when I got home. You may want to do the same if used in dirty or salty water. ( I'm just being picky with my new toy)We had two adults and a small child, easy to maneuver with single and tandem paddling. Space was fine, but I would not suggest having three adults - that would be quite cramped.Final note: Purchase experience with Dick's was great, supper fast shipping!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Sea Eagel 370 We have been out a few times. It does not perform like a hard kayak but suits our needs just fine. We think of it more as an inflatable canoe rather than a kayak. If two adults are considering one of the inflatable kayak's we suggest getting the Sea Eagle 370 because of the additional space. We have had fun with it.
