[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We carry a Big Agness shelter on our river trips to be used in poor weather or in hot/overly sunny conditions. Its poles are longer than most 65-liter bags will hold, so this Big River Backpack was purchased to keep it dry in our canoe. Our maiden voyage with it involved a loop in the Okefenokee Swamp that started a multi-day paddle trip down the Suwannee River (Georgia & Florida). First, the closure is the best ever!!! In terms of its size, it fits perfectly on the floor of our canoe, behind the stern seat. For most trips we take, the backpack straps are unnecessary - maybe a Boundary Waters or Quetico trip is in our future and we can put them to work. I'm really happy I purchased it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wonderful big bag for trips. I keep a smaller day pack inside and use the 75l bag as suitcase.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Performs exactly as I need it to. Great for the class I-II whitewater I've used it on, mostly day paddles. Thinking of really putting it to the test when I swim to an island for an overnight next week. Would buy again!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Does exactly what I need it to do. Have taken it on boats and to the beach multiple times already.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Appreciate the weight savings over traditional bags but the top closure needs at least one strap to be perfect. I also added a grab loop strap to the harness which would also make the bag perfect.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We just got hit pretty much back-to-back by Helene and Milton, and this made a great go-bag to evacuate from the hurricanes! It’s very well built and easy to carry, there’s plenty of room for evacuation essentials, and all of my stuff stayed dry! All sorts of camping and survival supplies are very popular here in hurricane country — even though I don’t know of a single person who actually voluntarily goes camping around here! The only thing I wish I could change about the bag is the color! I really wanted a hot pink, or at least a bright neon orange or yellow! Still, the red and yellow is considerably more visible than the basic black. I received the correct item, in good condition, in a decent amount of time. The packaging was frankly ridiculous, though! It’s very flat and took up minimal room, even without rolling it up – so there was no reason to send it in a massive cardboard box the size of a golf bag, for goodness sakes!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve taken it on one back country trip and a few other over nighters, and have found the pack to be great. I like the white interior for finding gear and the quality of the bag seems durable overall. The straps themselves aren’t the most comfortable when your bag gets heavier but for my portages I’m never wearing the pack for much more than an hour between paddles. I would personally prefer a bit of extra bulk and weight if that was the compromise to have a slightly more padded shoulder.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As an avid canoeist I’m always looking for tough but lightweight gear for canoe tripping. Over the last few years my gear closet has transitioned almost entirely to Sea to Summit gear. Telos tent, Spark 3 sleeping bag, collapsible pots, big river dry backpack, stuff sacks and compression bags and I have been completely satisfied with each and every item. Great job Sea to Summit!

Doesn’t have a grab handle on top by shoulder straps. For this price that’s a big miss. The grab strap on the side is too small for my hand. Otherwise made well enough but I can’t recommend this bag given the grab strap misgivings

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I will say that this bag holds a lot of things. It is great for hikes. It is comfortable and was very easy to set up. It fits me well and sits perfectly on my back. I really like how it looks, sleek and simple.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love it! Been using it to walk to an outdoor pool I swim laps in then put my wet swim gear in afterwards and walk home. Love that it dries quickly. Will be using it all winter when I work outside in the rain at farmers markets then in the Spring when I live in the Himalayas and hike everyday often in the rain to gets goods & services I need.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this bag for our last river trip on the boat. It worked great for holding our towels and extra clothes for after jumping in the water. This worked at keeping things dry and ready for after getting wet. We were able to hook to the rails in the boat with ease. It held 4 towels 4 pairs of clothes and snacks. The material feels durable and we strong. I believe this bag will last us a long time.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I ordered red but got black, which is fine, just an observation. It worked super well at packing in and keeping all my gear dry for a day on the lake on my stand up paddle board. I appreciate the way the bag unfolds as it makes it easier to carry, load and unload on a paddle board out in the middle of a lake.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The simple design makes it easy to use. That simple design does make it hard to find things because they can get lost in the bottom. It is very large and a good amount of it is above the shoulder. It's very tall, so more for taller people. It's closer to the style of a hiking backpack. We use it for the pool for our family of five and it's really nice. It is waterproof inside and out. The shoulder straps are comfortable. It's hard to adjust the straps once clipped. You have to undo the clips to adjust them. Overall, it is a pretty nice waterproof backpack.
