Great Lightweight Poncho

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Picked up this poncho based on its small packability and how lightweight and comfortable it is. I took a trip to Costa Rica at the start of the green season and was very glad I had cover because I have never seen rain like that before. Even in 90°+ temps and high humidity I was totally comfortable when wearing the poncho. Sea To Summit came through with clutch gear once again!

Great Coverage, Packs Small!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great coverage for me, my daypack and oversized hip bag, yet packs small enough to stuff into a small outer pocket, exactly as I had planned. The blue is a gorgeous color, too!

Something Has Changed In Quality

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had a sea to summit poncho that got stolen off my pack thus fall in Spain. The new one I purchased seems not as good quality. The stuff sack notceven big enough.

I Threw This Poncho In

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I threw this poncho in my pack while trekking the W-Circuit in Patagonia. Although I didn't end up needing it, it was excellent insurance against the unpredictable weather there. It is lightweight and compact and I didn't even notice it in my pack. I'm excited to get a chance to actually whip it out in the future and know I'll be taking it on many more trips.

Yowza

I Recommend It

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Comfortable, lightweight, easy to stuff and store. Used it once so far in an evening rain storm during a hike to an AT shelter. Performed as expected for a quality S2S product.

Tiny Rain Poncho

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very happy to have it when the skies opened with rain in Stockholm.

Supper Light

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried my Poncho in Spain on the Camino de Santiago. I went through a few days of non stop rain and the poncho performed wonderfully

Poncho And Lefty

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Gonna keep you free and clean. I haven’t used this in the rain yet, but really excited to leave trade my 3-4 lbs of rain jacket and pants for something that should actually keep my drier when the skies open up and I have a backpack on. Obviously it will breath better and weight a fraction of the amount. Also, you can put it on and remove it without taking your pack off. It’s also going camping and to all the music festivals.

Perfect For Urban Travel

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am not a hiker, camper, or climber. I don't want to be eaten by bears or wind up as the subject of one of those documentaries with titles like "so you think you'd survive??" I am an urban trekker and world traveler. I don't use umbrellas, because I need my hands free for my urban walking stick and for schlepping things. This poncho is lightweight and can be carted around in my urban backsling. Will save me from becoming drenched in places like Luxembourg where there aren't enough tall buildings to duck under when the skies open up.

What I Was Looking For

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Waterproof, seems to be sturdy, easy to get on and off, goes over everything, doesn’t breathe. Also, a good length for a short person, keeps everything dry but not so long it’s a trip hazard.

So Far, So Good!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I haven’t had the chance yet to use this in the rain. I’m planning to use it during several outdoor concerts over the summer. But…..I love the color (blue), it is nice and long for good coverage (I’m 5’3”), it’s light weight, and it stuffs into a very small package. Win, win, win so far!!!

Torn Between A 4 And A 5

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like this garment. I've always been a high-end GoreTex guy, but refuse to pay those premiums any longer. I was hoping this would give me the ventilation I needed to wear a puffy without worrying about internal moisture buildup. Did a test with walking around town 2.5-3 hrs in continuous light rain. I always kept my arms inside, but developed a strip of moisture along the lower arms where the front/back come together (somewhat expected, but with a slightly longer arm design could be avoided). The other problem was that the face of the fabric itself slowly leaked (it was not sweat buildup as I wore cotton layers for the test and the inner layers were completely dry). It was a small amount of water, but the rain was also light. In my judgement, this works best as a just-in-case layer, either for walking a couple of blocks in town in anything up to a downpour, or summer hiking where you might not care about getting a little damp (probably a short sleeves and shorts kind of day, with a possible shower).

Nice Lightweight Poncho

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this to use when I didn’t need to take a rain jacket on my backpacking trips. It’s super lightweight. I ended up using it on my Grand Canyon trip. While it didn’t cover all of the backpack (not a big deal since my gear was wrapped in plastic) it served the purpose I bought it for. I do think it’s a bit pricey and it took me over a year to decide whether I wanted to buy it.
