Comfortable Even On Concrete

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Once I learned how to inflate my mattress, I loved it! It takes only a few sharp breaths to inflate. And it is comfortable enough to roll over even on concrete. I have slept well in my tent with this under my sleeping bag this week.

Just A Little Missed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Light, compact, quick to inflate, comfortable on the back, but for someone 225 pounds like me, it lacked a little thickness when sleeping on my side. I finally had to opt for something thicker. At 170 cm, the long was perfect for me, the regular would not have done.

A Happy Side-sleeper

Getting to this mat has been a process for me. After years of sleeping on the ground I finally stepped up to some egg-crate foam. After scolding myself for not having made that move years ago, I stepped up to a "self-inflating" pad that made things even better. However, I would often wake up with pain or stiffness in my hip. I assumed that was just a consequence of an aging body spending the night in a tent. Then I discovered this mat. What a difference! It is lighter than what I had been carrying and far more comfortable. Blowing it up (one of my concerns) is not a problem. Absolutely recommended!

Sleeping So Much Better!

I recently retired my old Therm-a-Rest for this sleeping pad and now I can actually sleep at night! No comparison. It's easy to inflate and I like the mummy shape. I'm exactly 5'6" and the regular works perfectly. This is likely too heavy for PCT through hikers but for my 1-, 2- and 3-night trips, it's perfect. However, my very favorite Sea to Summit product which was an absolute game-changer for me for backpacking is the Aeros pillow. That has made all the difference between a miserable night and a great one.

Sweet Dreamzzz

Took this bad boy out on some recent backpacking in the Grand Tetons (Wyoming) and Maroon Bells (Colorado). Major upgrade from my previous MEC pad (that's Canadian REI fyi). Very decent weight given how insanely comfy it is (my bf has the ultralight insulated which is also great, a little lighter). Night temps were around 40 degrees, and I was so toasty (paired with the REI Joule sleeping bag). Super comfy even on uneven surfaces. I sleep on my side/back/front etc. and it was all comfy. So nice to wake up without aches and pains when you are putting your body through grueling hikes! My only suggestion is to add a feature that would allow two Sea to Summit mats to attach/secure lengthwise to one another (velcro tabs? IDK). Especially if you already got bags that zip together.. So when you are backcountry snuggling you can stay cozy with your boo, or your friend, or whoever is keeping you warm in the mountains.

Comfy And Light

Have used this sleeping mat pretty much every weekend since I have purchased it. I appreciate how lightweight it is and how quick it takes to inflate it. I tend to sleep on my side, and wake up with minimal side/back pain.

Easy Set Up, Very Comfy!

Super easy to set up. Haven’t been able to try it outside yet, but when I’ve laid on it on my (clean) kitchen floor, it feels like a dream! Can’t wait to test this on my first trip.

Absolutely Fantastic Mat!

So far I've only spent Memorial Day weekend camping and using this mat (coupled with a Coleman foam mat underneath), both on a plywood bunk in a cabin and on the chilly, Alaska ground. It was AMAZING. I'm 5'1", roughly 112 lbs and curvy, and sleep all over the place (especially in my mummy sleeping bag). I didn't feel ANY pressure on my shoulders or hips whatsoever during both nights. It was easy to unpack and blow up (albeit pretty cumbersome for an asthmatic, but I'll figure out a blow-up method that works better), clean and then roll up to be stored again. It packs pretty small and light, and fits perfectly in my backpack. I highly recommend!

Women's Comfort Light Insulated

I purchased this pad in large as I'm a restless side sleeper and I find that there's just not enough wiggle room on regular size pads. If this came in a regular length wide version, I would have purchased that one instead as, at 5'5", I dont need the extra length. This pad performs as it should, with enough lift to keep my hips off the ground and not bottoming out and enough insulation to keep the ground chill a bay. The face material is not clammy and does not produce the noise from movement that some other pads do. If you're looking for an ultralight pad, look elsewhere, but I prefer comfort and this pad has it in aces. Highly recommend!

Small And Lightweight

I haven’t slept on it yet... But it’s super light weight and smaller than I expected

Cowboy Camping

I used this mat to sleep outside under the stars and full moon. It was cold (and it wound up raining). However, I was toasty and comfortable!

Job Done Loudly

While I love the color of this pad, it is so loud! It crinkles with every move. Unfortunately the sound out weighed how comfortable it is. I had to return it. I would still recommend it if you can look past the sound!

As Comfortable As My Bed At Home

This is the most comfortable backpacking sleeping mat ever! I’m on the heavy side and a side sleeper, but I don’t feel the ground at all, as I did with other mats. It’s an ingenious design that is as comfortable as my bed at home. Well done, Sea to Summit!

Really Comfy

I love it! The blow up bag thingy is bulky and probably not worth the weight. Would recommend!

Great Air Mat For The Price

Time to upgrade from the foam sleeping pads of the old days Comfortable sleeping mat. Packs super compact. The air pump stuff sack took some getting used to, but is efficient once you learn the technique. I like how my Sea to Summit pillow attaches on to the mat, keeps it from getting away as I sleep. Insulation keeps me warm on chilly kayak campouts.
