Too Soft

I thought that I was replacing a previous Control Air paddle that got stolen but all these paddles look the same. As soon as I hit a ball with this paddle I knew it was not the right paddle. The hit is too soft and takes too much power to engage power, blows out my shoulders trying to play with this paddle.

Great For Rotator Cuff Problems

I really like the paddle since I have rotator cuff problems. I can swing without incurring pain in my shoulder. I can also generate more spin with this paddle as the dwell time is greater and/or the surface has a rough finish to enhance spin. On the slightly negative side, I lack the power with the paddle that I had in my previous paddle. But the trade-off is well worth it. It could also simply be my lack of personal power due to aging muscles in my arms, causing me to hit some balls into the net that I wasn't hitting into the net just three months ago.

Made the transition to an elongated paddle easy. Excellent feel and control. Slight increase power over my previous paddle. Was quite light out of the box only 8 ounces. Added some weighted tape to the sides and at 11 and 1 o’clock. Have only been using for five or six outings. Certainly noticing an improvement in certain aspects of the game, in particular those related to net play and “firefights”
