Not A Labs Project 003

I purchased this paddle with the assumption it would perform like my Selkirk Labs Project 003 (its predecessor). My style of play comes from my tennis background and the 003 performed perfectly. My grit has worn off significantly and I was needing a replacement. I purchased the Luxx Control Air with InfiniGrit and it plays more like a power paddle. Yes I get the spin I need, but most of my shots go much longer than with my previous paddle. My rating is based off the control aspect of the paddle. It doesn't cradle the ball the way the Labs paddle did, which results in a longer shot. Not saying buyer beware, but I am saying that your play needs to be more dialed in. The good part of this paddle is that I can still place my shot where I want but it just took some time to navigate the pop. TL;DR Great paddle, just too powerful.

Great Paddle With Surface Longevity Issue.

Fantastic paddle for control and spin. Very easy transition from forehand to backhand. This is the third one I have owned and the only short coming is the surface seems to wear quickly. I play 3-4 times a week for 2-3 hours and the paddle is worn out after 6 months. I am a big guy with lots of power so I do strike the ball hard, but having the surface wear so quickly is disappointing.
