The second time I played with this paddle the top edge got a chip. The company rep said that is why I should have purchased an edge guard, which I had but did not want to put it on until I was sure I liked the paddle. However, my return and paddle replacement went very smoothly and I like my second choice, the Vanguard Epic.

I really love this paddle! Been playing 6 yrs and this is my favorite paddle yet. I don't use a 2-handed backhand, so I prefer the shorter handle of the S2. If you're a 2-handed backhander, you'll need a longer handle. The cut out helps me with quicker swinging, especially on windy days. I rewrapped the handle with a grippier softer grip as the one it came with was too slippery for me. Selkirk makes quality products and they stand behind them... thanks Selkirk!
