Great paddle. I did a lot of research about what paddle would help my game and this held true to what I found. I have more precise placement and a bit of added power. It’s been a little tough getting power behind my backhand though. I hope that once I’ve used it a bit longer.
Great paddle with lots of power for a reasonable price

Great control, great power. My game has taken a step forward due to this paddle. It has taken some time to get used to it, but is one of the best purchases I have made so far.

Absolutely shocked with the great performance! Beyond expectations. The paddle is light, cuts cleanly through the air, massive sweet spot, completely predictable. No surprises or strange behavior. It swings so much easier. Very noticeable immediately that this paddle is easier on your joints. No elbow pain, the grip is an amazing shock reducer. The spin is controllable, serves are next level. This is a game changer at a great price. So happy that I made this purchase. Just ordered another paddle!

Not very forgiving paddle, was expecting a bit more balanced paddle for the brand and price. Some of the shots are awesome but sweet spot seems smaller than my other paddles. The grip on it seems to already have worn off after a couple weeks of 2-3 days a week of play.

Loved the look of the paddle and company build up. Lack of control vs many less expensive models. Lack of pop off paddle face. Should have tested it out first.

I am extremely pleased with the Vanguard Power Air Epic that I purchased. The added power and spin control has really helped me improve my game.

I love playing with my Selkirk. It gives power, speed, and spin. I do add a little weight for more pop. You will love this paddle!

Love it. Power and control! It's my second one of the same model.

As an intermediate player, I was looking for a paddle with a fair degree of forgiveness, as well as the ability to impart more spin to my shots. Though I’ve only played with it on a few occasions, I’ve been very pleased with its grip on the ball, as well as its all around performance and power.

I have purchased three other paddles with only one giving me a small boost in performance. I took a chance on the Epic based on free return. It will certainly not be returned because it has improved my game noticeably. I am not a skill player, being 72 years old, but can hold my own against much younger players. The first time I used this paddle some of the other players commented on my skill level, an illusion in my mind, but real in their observations !! The paddle is almost too fast, so I've learned to tone it down. I am playing indoors so edge wear is no issue, but as an engineer when I study the edge it seems like it will outwear the face. Also, Selkirk sells edge protection strips but seems like a waste unless playing outdoors on rough surface with aggressive play. Only one time did the ball hit the open space near the handle, but it likely would have been a bad hit anyways. I wear "large" size gloves and the handle size is perfect. The grip is slightly slick when really sweating, but not nearly as bad as a different new paddle, so I'll keep an eye on this and might buy an economical grip tape if it becomes an issue. On my other paddle I had to wear a weightlifting glove for grip. I'd say this paddle lives up to the hype and would gladly buy again.

I found the paddle was much too light with little core. Felt like hitting a piece of wood.
