Rated 5 out of 5 by NFMZ1 from The little combo that could Picked this up as a Panfish/Trout combo I needed. Am I glad I did! This rod and reel great. It is super light in the hand. Comes spooled with 4lb test that holds up super well. I have been using it the last 10 fishing outtings at a local lake COVERED in lilypads and it hasn't failed me yet. Catching everything from small sunfish to 2lb bass this combo handled it like a pro. highly recommended and out performs anything else in this price range.

I bought in store and I love this combo.. reeled in some decent size fish .. the pole proved to hold up.. it's strong and flexible.. I don't see any damage or weak points in the rod.. maybe other reviewers where using large weights and trying to cast that might of cause the break.. I was using a trout magnet and the line that came with it... .. used this pole more then a dozen times and no issues.

Rated 1 out of 5 by thelure17 from microspin 4/ n i bought 2 combos-one for my son and the other for my nephew. the first week of trout [april 18] the bail spring broke on my son's reel. i tried to get the bail spring from shakespeare and their response was to take it back to the store, they don't have the part. on my nephew's reel the roller screw fell out and we lost the roller as well. again shakespeare's answer is these are throw away outfits. i will never buy another shakespeare outfit....they are JUNK.

Caught everthing from crappie to bass an even a 6lb pickerel. so much bang for the buck an fits perfectly under the seat of my truck for a perfect carry setup. Highly recommend
