Will Use For Crab Snaring

I got this for crab snaring in ocean beach sf and it seems like it will work great. Seems to be as well built as higher end Shakespeare products

Great reels for the price , actually got them on sale.

Great Reel

Brought two of the size 70's for myself for Christmas and they both are great. They both have brought in 10lb plus Katfish with no problem. The reels are smooth and a plus is, they kome already spooled with some quality line.

Got To Pay, To Play.

Bought this Alpha 70 for back up reel, surf fishing. Received 2020 Dec 1. Noticed reel was not smooth when turning handle, Drag Clicker not making sound to let you know fish is on. Never had problems with cheap Shakespeare reels in the past, This is my first time shopping at Dick's!. Looks like I might loose out on Black Friday 25% discount by returning this item. Will update, only if I don't get my money back, plus 25% discount. Time will tell If Dick's! is a good company!

Inexpensive, Does The Job

Last minute purchase to go crab snaring in Half Moon Bay rock jetty. I needed a large capacity reel for my 11' surf rod. Reel already came loaded with 20' test. No problems with reel.

Poor Quality Even For An Inexpensive Reel

I used this reel 3 times in a 10 day span and it froze up after the use. Could barely crank the handle. Checked for sand but could not find any. Would not buy another one.

Feels And Looks Expensive.

I purchased this for a friend's birthday and he placed it directly into his fishing box.

You Get What You Pay For.

The spooling arm does not work very well if at all. I bought a Diawa open reel that costs the same and it is 1000 times better

Garbage

When I received it, I took it out of package and when I spun the reel it was clicking/hitting on something. Basically I can't use it. Only reason I bought it is because I have another one and I lost the spring for the drag. All I really needed was the was the the top peice with the line on it. Works great on my existing reel. The one I purchased as a whole is junk and doesn't work. Also dicks website said it comes with 20lb line, when I received it the package had a sticker over the specs that said 17lb line.
