D1 Player Fed Up With Carbon Fiber Prices Finds Love And Nostalgia In These Wooden Sher-wood Dreams.

After a weekend on the ice and two broken carbon sticks later, I was in a bind. I needed something quick, but I didn't have $400+ dollars for one or two new sticks. I found these Sher-Wood sticks online and thought I'd give one a shot. I grew up playing with wooden sticks, mostly Sher-Wood, Titan and Koho models, and with the price of this stick it was an easy click to purchase. I will admit that at first I was worried about the weight and feel, but when I took this stick out of the box and taped it up, all the old warm and fuzzy feels of what made hockey great to me as a kid came rushing back. My fears about the weight were also quelled. Considering I'm a full grown man now, these aren't nearly as heavy as I remember. And while they are obviously slightly heavier than a carbon stick, these bad boys are absolute TANKS in the corners and they catch passes with almost no effort. I loved it so much that I ordered 4 more, and honestly, I don't think I'll ever go back to carbon. These feel like a hockey stick should feel. I will also say that I took some chirps when I showed up the next weekend, and I've earned the nickname "2 by 4" with the guys, but I've also had 4 different teammates ask me where I got these. I think I may have started a hockey stick renaissance. Just saying.

I Love This Stick!

I’ve always preferred a wooden stick to the composite ones. I like this one. Feels good, nice curve and flex! Thanks Sherwood and Dicks!

Great Inexpensive Stick

I bought this stick to help coach my son's instructional league hockey team. I was required to have a stick and bought this as it was the cheapest and highest rated. I am very pleased with my purchase. The stick is very sturdy, lightweight, good quality and functional for my needs (general hockey play). I was surprised with how light the stick was! I do not play competitive hockey, so I can not comment on this stcks functionality for that, but if you are looking for a high quality street/ice hockey stick for light to non-competitive reasons, I would say this stick would foot the blll!
