[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great pedal if you are looking to clip in. Spindle looks sleek. Bearing are smooth and tend to last many miles. Durable and functional. Great pedal for the price.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased these as an upgrade for my 20 year old Coda SPD pedals. I don’t know why I waited so long but these are great. They shed mud much better, reasonable weight and seem very solid.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have these on my gravel and road bikes and love them. I hate the “road” style cleats. I really like that these are double side, so easy to get clipped in.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I ride Shimano PD-M540s on three of my bikes, road, dirt and mountain. I love their simplicity and their reliability and their look; and when I need to unclip, no matter the gnarliness of the situation, they have never let me down.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my first pair of clip in pedals and I love them. Super easy to put on the bike. Was able to quickly learn to clip in and out while riding. Plus made the riding experience so much more enjoyable!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been using the 540 pedals, seems like, forever. I use them on a touring bike with Sidi Dominator 7s. They always do the job and require no regular maintenance unless you’re in crazy mud. The newer models are cool but these work just as well for half the price.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been on these pedals for about a month now. They do everything you would hope and expect. The one flaw I have with these is that I need to tighten the springs to the tightest gear so that my foot does not move around. It's not my first set of spds where I have had to tighten them down

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] There are a lot of pedals on the market today but Shimano pedals are the only pedals I will buy! They last forever and the only reason I am buying a new pair is because I bought a new bike. I still have my original pair of 540's on another bike that I have ridden for 15 years.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just switched out my SPD-SL pedals with these on my gravel bike. Works great and they few really solid. I haven't had any issues installing or using these new pedals on dirt or tarmac. Would definitely recommend to any gravel bikers.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased these to try after having used the M520’s for many years. A nice upgrade aesthetically and the build quality seems a bit higher as well. Should last a long time and easy to service.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are basic, durable Shimano SPD pedals at a good price. They aren't the heaviest or the lightest - they're just right. Cleat tension is fully adjustable and consistent. If you ride steep, rocky stuff, you can adjust tension for quick, easy and predictable release. Predictable is good.
