SPD-SL is a solid system based on years of experience, and one that you can rely on for parts, cleats, and more for a long time. I moved over from Speedplay pedals after my particular model was not continued after being purchased by Wahoo, so I couldn’t get cleats or other parts—very frustrating! It took a bit for me to get used to the more limited float, but after some months of use, I really like these Ultegra pedals and don’t have any knee pain or issues with them.
