Large Is 28 Inch Waist?!

Absolutely baffled by the sizing on this. It's supposed to be a large, but the waistband is literally 28 inches unstretched; when stretched, it is no more than 33 inches at most. On my 34 inch waist it is absolutely too small and tight a fit. The pouch is tiny, 6 inches at its widest, not nearly enough to comfortable cradle the goods. And the straps are too small for anything like a comfortable fit.
