Rated 5 out of 5 by from DOES THE JOB! :P My son plays AA little league baseball and is frequently the catcher, so a cup is mandatory. I cannot say that it has truly been put to the test due to the age group/level of play, but it seems tough. It's also broad enough to cover a large area. Humorously, my son likes the idea of wearing it and is quite proud to show it off. That's reason enough to buy it, right? It slips into the underwear, so no extra "harness" is needed and it can be thrown in the washing machine (let it air dry).

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good fit but pricey and needs better labeling I know they say you can't put a price on good protection but $20 for this?!? Sheesh! Seems well made but c'mon, it's plastic and wetsuit material. Should be $10-15 at most. Also note there are very minute differences between this and the hard cup version that aren't very obvious. The soft cup is more flexible but intended for non-contact sports (whatever that is - curling, checkers? lol). Isn't it contradictory to need a cup for a non-contact sport? The hard cup is less flexible and intended for sports like baseball, hockey, lacrosse and MMA. This info is in the fine print on Dick's and Shock Doctor websites but if it's on the packaging it's well hidden and not nearly as obvious as it should be :/ Looking at the soft and hard cups in their packaging side by side in the store you would probably think you're choose between light and dark camo. Even if you notice one says hard and the other soft, neither package mentions the sports they are intended for. Shouldn't be this complicated. Lower the price and improve labeling.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Don't use for baseball, hockey We had a 13 year old boy injured last year on my son's baseball team who wore a "soft" cup and was struck by a ball in the crotch area. Major injury to his parts and had to go to ER then urologist for followup to be certain everything was OK. Be sure to only get a hard cup for baseball, hockey, etc.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from comfort! My son hates to wear a cup but he does not complain about this one. He throws it in his briefs and is content!
