Rated 5 out of 5 by from Grion Sleeve When I walked into Dicks Sporting Goods store I did not know what to get because I just injured my groin playing recreational softball. So I ask one of the customer service reps. what they would recommend. The person was very professional, courteous and knowledgeable about Shock Doctor product. He suggested it that this particular sleeve would give me the support I need. Later on that week I got a chance to use it in my softball game and it made all the difference. This sleeve allowed me to run from base to base. It also allowed me move side to side when playing outfield. Thank you Shock Doctor for allowing me to stay active as I get older.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Well made, but....... I took a chance that a M was the right size for me not having measured my thigh beforehand. It was a great fit, nice and snug, any tighter would have been too tight. Seems like a quality well made product. Here's the thing... be prepared to keep pulling it back up into place. Even just from walking, let alone a sport that requires jumping. And you have to pull up in the groin area, a little embarassing. Do other brands of thigh sleeves stay up? I dont know, but I would expect this product to stay in place. I think my leg shape is pretty average, so I dont know what the answer is. Whether to recommend it is a tough call. If I heard another result like mine, I would not.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great support & pain reduction I've had a mild strain in my groin/adductor soft about 2 years. Time off hasn't helped. I've been able to work through it and continue to perform deep squats but it's gotten worse in the last 2 weeks. Today I bought the thigh sleeve and had virtually no pain in my inner thigh like I do anytime I squat, do mountain climbers or anything like that.I've read several reviews where people complained that the sleeve slid down the leg. My sleeve stayed put through my entire workout. There is a rubbery pattern printed inside the sleeve that helps keep it from sliding especially when it's wet or sweaty. For what it's worth I would recommend to go at least 1 size down from what is specified on the package. My thigh is 23.5 inches measured 9" above the knee and I got a medium. The range for medium is 18.75 - 20.25.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very good support... I am an elite bowler and weight trainer and this thigh support has helped me with both. For the bowling side, I am able to wear the brace through an 8-game block and the sleeve does not fall during those matches. However, it did start to slip after the cool down period, so on average it maintained to stay on for about near 4 hours even after my competitions. Later after, it starts loosening. During my weight training, the brace sticks on even through flexibility. I have not suffered any strain or pain while wearing this sleeve, not even any circulation loss. Great product and highly recommended.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Works, but Won;t Stay Put The good news is that this compression sleeve sooths and protects an aching quad muscle. That's the plus. I originally bought the medium, but it slipped down as I walked. So, I ordered the small size. It still slipped down, just not as quickly as the larger size. I walk about 30 yards and the sleeve slides down to my ankle. So, my solution so far has been to wrap a wide Ace Bandage around it, then go up around my waste with the bandage, then back around the sleeve and tighten it. That works, but I may try other methods to keep it from slipping down, such as sewing or gluing strips of something on the inside that would keep it from slipping.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Try wetting the inside I have had this product for about 4 years. To help control sliding down my leg, I wet the inside (moist, not soaking). It does a pretty good job of keeping it in place - I compete in triathlons and it has worked well with no need to pull it up.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Product stayed up less than 3 hours This product was recommended to help with the healing of my stage 2 quadracep tear. I measured carefully as instructed. The Dick's Sporting Goods rep was outstanding. Even though I made certain I had it on correctly, the Shock Doctor quad compression device fell down to my ankle when I walked. I had to repeatedly pull it up where it needed to be then it would fall to my calf, then to my ankle. Dick's is a good store, however my $27+/- was wasted with this product. I really don't think it's worth the time and effort as well as the gasoline to try to return this item after about 90 minutes usage. If you would care to refund my purchase price I would be happy to return this item. My quad still hurts like Hades.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pulled hamstring I bought this to protect my hamstring while i played. it worked amazing. I was pretty scared to re-injure myself but this sleeve prevented me from a full stretch which helped keep me from pulling it again. a lot of other reviews complained about it slipping off but i had no problem make sure you get the right size and it will work great.
