This is a good mouth guard for wrestlers that have top and bottom braces. My son liked it.

I recently got the Shock Doctor Double Braces Youth Mouthguard for my child who plays contact sports and wears braces, and it’s been a solid choice overall. This mouthguard is specifically made to fit both upper and lower braces, so it helps protect against cuts and injuries from the brackets themselves, which gives extra peace of mind during games and practices. One of the things I liked most is that there’s no boiling or molding required — you just pop it in and it adjusts around the braces as needed, which is convenient for kids. It also has breathing channels that help make it easier for them to breathe and communicate during play. In terms of comfort, it’s a mixed bag: while many find it comfortable and effective, some kids may feel that it’s a bit bulky at first, and a few reviews mention that it takes a little time to get used to — but that’s pretty common with braces‑specific guards. Overall, this mouthguard is a great protective option for youth athletes with braces, balancing comfort, fit, and performance at a reasonable price.

It was just a bit big and my son ended up getting a different one that fit better.

These protect pretty good and isn’t too bulky when put over the teeth

It fit around the braces but my daughter can’t close her mouth around it so we can’t even use it. Total waste of money

Works as described. My kiddo doesn't try to take it out.

Was required to have for youth wrestling as my son has braces. Works well. Not too bulky

At the recommendation of the orthodontist, I bought this for my 11-year old son when he got braces on his too and bottom teeth. My son tried to wear them during basketball games, but he could barely get his mouth closed let alone breathe and run around. He ended up taking them out and hasn’t used them since. The quality is good though. I’d recommend, but with caution.
