Some Pros And Cons

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Pro: well made and keeps the water off me while biking. Can flip the magnetic back flap up and wear around as a regular rain jacket. The blue is a nice bright color. Cons: vents are oddly placed and I have had to train my brain to avoid them when reaching into pockets. The main zipper is very stiff so I can’t adjust it up and down one-handed while I bike. I bought a medium for the chest circumference as I am 5’4’ and a busty 135-140 lbs. The sleeves are way too long on me. They reach to the end of my fingertips. Petites beware! Other info: I have a small head so the hood is huge when used directly on my head rather than over the bike helmet. There are adjusters but it makes the hood bunch out on the sides. Now that I’ve written this review, I can see that I don’t love this jacket enough to buy it again. If Showers Pass modifies the zipper, I might reconsider. I bought this for bike commuting in New England. Caveat: I have not worn this in colder weather and can’t comment on how it protects from wind.

Nice Jacket

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this jacket a few months ago for Kansas winter biking. It definitely keeps me dry. I wish it had pit zips to vent and an exterior chest pocket. I find the jacket to be a bit bulky for storage when biking.

Great But A Few Small Comments

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far the jacket's working out great. I was right on the line between S and M size, and I'm glad I went up to the M, especially so I can fit a fleece or something more substantial for colder days. Especially needed since the jacket doesn't retain any warmth--which is fine, since it means it's doing its job to be lightweight. Does great in the rain so far; just biked through a couple of downpours. Love the hood fits over a helmet; makes me feel extra warm and dry. Small request--the side pockets are hard to open and close with bare fingers and essentially impossible even with thin gloves. I'll probably tie on a bit of cord to help. I also wish the vents were actually in the armpits like every other rain jacket I've had (cycling or otherwise), to improve venting and ease of access/reducing confusion with the pockets. It would be nice to have a back pocket, and to have a chest pocket (eg for cell phone) outside vs inside so you don't have to unzip your jacket.
