Love the flats sneakers. Wore them on a trip to the Cocos Keeling Islands and paired with the ultralight wading socks my feet were happy! No rubbing, no sand in my boots and no coral cuts! Highly recommend!

Wanted to wear everyday , way too stiff . Really not made for what I wanted , made for not much movement on rocks in river . Good for that . Not Ocean and everyday wear .

Breaking them in was a bit rough but now they’re the best boots I’ve ever owned! The non marking soles are great on the boat as well. Not to mention they look awesome.

I have worn quite a few setups from neoprene booties, wet wading sneakers and several normal wading boots. Nothing came close this boot. I walk a lot of miles from hard bottom flats to sink to your knee in mud creeks, no dogs barkin at the end of the day in these puppies.

Wrote a review for these a few months back but it never showed up. Ill try again. These are probably the most uncomfortable wading boots Ive ever worn. Strangely, for the first few minutes they feel okay, nice and stable and firm. But go wade a bonefish flat for the entire day for several days in a row and your feet will be begging for mercy. Maybe theyre only made for folks who wade a nice firm white sand flat for a couple hours before giving up. After 8 hours, my feet were in agony. So much so that one day I even switched to my Keens sandals for the afternoon, which are horrible for wading flats. My brother had a similar experience. Theyre really heavy and the footbed is so firm and stiff theyre masochistic. My feet hurt for days after the trip ended. They feel more like construction boots.
Very high quality wading shoes, especially if on uneven broked coral / marl bottom due to having very firm soles. These do run small, so consider order a larger size, 1-1/2 to 2 sizes larger depending on whether you are also going to be wearing the neoprene socks. Recommend wearing them around the house for a while in order to break them in a bit and get a good feel for size you ordered as well as getting used to their stiffness. They do offer great support for your ankles and arches.

Brought the shoes a few weeks ago for a hiking trip to Switzerland :u1F1E8::u1F1ED:. I thought the shoes would be good for hiking in different terrain but after just a few days in the mountain the shoes still feel so stiff, heavy and started to hurt my left ankle. I wish I could have a much lighter pair of hiking boots.
I walk and wade the bonefish flats almost half the year. The flats sneaker offers the support and protection booties dont absent the additional weight of a flats boot. When wading 3 or 4 hours at a time, those things matter. The sneakers have always been good and the design changes over the years have done nothing but improve the durability and functionality. Pair them with the guide sock and youre good to go.

Upgraded to these boots for a 2-week trip to St . Lots of sand, coral and everything in between. Boots are super comfortable and don’t show any signs of wear. Highly recommend.

Took these to Belize for proper flats fishing which was great but these also excel wet-wading in the mountain streams of the PNW. Really comfy. I typically wear a size 12 but ordered a size 13 and they fit perfect with the neoprene sock liners.

Solid saltwater shoe - paired with Neoprene socks for keeping debris out of the boots. The toe box is wide enough, but feels too thin of a space after wearing on the water. Feels like water suction with neoprene socks takes away any space and crowds big toes.

Sims has awesome shoes for saltwater wading on the texas flats for redfish and trout with or without waders. They are very comfortable and the high quality.

My first pair of Simms flats sneakers I bought in 2002. I loved them. They lasted me over twenty years and the only reason I bought these new ones were the foam around the ankles wore out. The soles were still great. If not for the ankles I’d still be using them. So… got these and I do like but. After about the first year the soles started to peal on the back and sides. I’ve been crazy glueing them back as they peal. Very sturdy boot itself and nice and light but soles coming off is very disappointing. Anyway just checking in to let you know that could be addressed. Been a Simms guy all my life and this is probably my only complaint.

Too big! Wish you made a woman’s smaller size! Returned them!

These flats shoes rock! They keep sand out and stand up to everything from sand, to skiffs, to razor sharp coral.
