Looks well made sleeves run a little long for large

Staying Dry

This wading jacket kept me dry during a storm that lasted several days.

Practicality

The Wading Jacket has NO section to attach nippers, forceps, etc. the two patches are for attaching fly patches, not tools. The chest pockets are far too shallow to put anything substantial in them. The side pockets are too far away for easy access. Basically, the jacket looks great, but is of no use for the practical needs of any angler. Bill O’Connell

The hood actually fits your head and with cinch down the hood actually stay’s on your head imagine that great feature cinch down Velcro cuffs keep water out and body heat in any situation two deep fly box pouches with zippered entry allow for a large storage area I got mine with the fluorescent orange trim for high vis safety great cinch down waste system helps with keeping warmth in weather out great jacket I would highly recommended this wading jacket to anyone.

G3 Guide Jacket

Just purchased so not a lot of fishing time with it but it appears well built which you would expect from Simms. I fished in a steady rain all day and stayed dry and comfortable. Seems to breathe very well. Non insulated so you'll need to size it appropriately to add additional layers for colder days. I found the sizing to be in line with their published charts. One suggestion to make this a better jacket is to add a zip out liner which would provide for multi season use

Great Jacket!!

The G3 Guide Wading Jacket is fantastic!! I've used it a few times already in very wet and rainy conditions and its performance is awesome!! With or without an inner layer it keeps you warm and dry in the worst conditions. Also, like the number of pockets that are easy to access. I wore it on a fly fishing trip and was comfortable for the entire day. Nice just to wear around town too. Easily a 5 star rating!!

Water Soaks Right Through

water soaks right into this jacket, only a matter of time before your clothes get damp. 100% completely dissatisfied with this purchase I’ve bought several Sims products over the years and the quality has always been there if you’re looking for a good raincoat don’t buy this one.

Impossible to have a jacket without D ring on the back . . . always when there is a change it is worse. Tha jacket looks like it was designed by non-fisherman

Quot;shingled Cuffquot; A Deal Killer

Good jacket but the quot;shingled cuffquot; or no velcro on outside of sleeve causes the sleeve hang too far over the hands (see the model in the picture). I get idea of no snags, but not functional

Great Jacket

Looks great, perfect for wade fishing in Texas. Blocks the wind and will keep you warm if you are layered up. Highly recommend the G3 wading jacket.
