Sungloves Saves The Day

I recently went on a trip to fish the Bayou for Redfish. Once down there, I had forgotten just how hot and relentless the Tropical sun can be. Luckily I didn't forget to bring my Simm's SunGloves. Any exposed skin in the tropical sun is fare game for severe sun burn that can ruin an otherwise epic trip. When out on water, I wore the gloves for the full 3 days and had zero burn. They make holding the 45lb Red Bull I land easier too!

Great Protection, Good Wrist Length And Comfort

I have several pairs and wear them daily. Without them the back of my hands would take a beating from the sun. I really like the open palm and half finger length. They go far enough up your wrist that your shirt sleeves easily overlap, even when casting. You don't even realize your wearing them.

Sun Glove, Sun Protection

I just returned from 2 weeks of sunny weather fishing the Honduran Bay Islands. Gloves gave good sun protection and protection from the line while fighting fish. I should have bought a second pair! Well worth it!

You Really Should…

As a full time fishing guide I spend a lot of time in the sun. With that being said, I’ve never been one to wear sun gloves. I always found reasons not to wear them, even with having cancerous growths burnt off my face multiple times. Finally after a long time client/friend had a heart to heart with me regarding his brother’s battle with skin cancer I broke down and bought these. Since receiving these Simms sun gloves I haven’t ran a day without them. In fact, I bought two pairs so I could switch them out when they get funky. It took a couple of days to get used to them and now I don’t notice.

Solarflex® Sunglove

Bought these to replace an older version that were wearing out after years of hard use. New version fits great and has a longer length which great as it layers under a long sleeve sun shirt better than the old ones.

Great Product

These gloves are true to size, comfortable, and provide the needed sun protection down here in SW FL. I have two pairs, one pair gets wet and contacts fish on a regular basis and the other pair exclusively for fly casting, clean and never wet.

Solarflex® Sunglove 2025

Disappointed! I like the extended middle and index leather padding for line handling and protection against line burns, however, the gloves would be so much better fully formed with a leather palm - gloves similar to the Cam Sigler sun gloves of old would be ideal!

They Work

Have several pair that I keep in different packs. I won’t fish without them anymore. They do a great job in keeping my fingers and wrists from getting burned.

Best Fly Fishing Gloves

I have been through many gloves and these are all I use now for fly fishing. They expose the right amount of palm, cover your wrist, and cover your fingers for maximum stripping. I wish the fingers were a bit longer as I have to use stripping finger gloves still.
