Love it! Strap harness is a big upgrade. It holds all I need for a day of fishing. Much lower profile than older model - never gets in the way. I use it everyday on the river and couldn’t be happier. JC, Ketchum Idaho

Used this pack for the last few years, works great for backcountry fishing when I'm trying to go minimalist. I only wish they would put some sort of strapping on the back so you can carry your rod tube. lots of storage space along with water bottle / bear spray holder.

Great for scouting and fishing light. Also doubles as my duck hunting vest.

Magnets, not zippers. Always magnets over zippers. Think the old William Joseph Confluence Pack. Allows for fast one handed operation, secure snap closure, no failing/stuck zippers.

Well made for a quick day trip wading or in a kayak

Solid pack with one frustrating design miss. This pack nails the size. It hits that sweet spot between minimalist and practical. . . it's small enough to force you to pack intentionally, but roomy enough to carry everything you actually need on the water. That said, it’s missing a key detail that would’ve easily made it a 5-star piece: usable attachment points. Right now, it only has one small attachment on the left shoulder strap, but anything clipped there ends up awkwardly perched on top of your shoulder. It’s not functional, and honestly feels like an afterthought. So, I have my nippers and floatant attached to a zipper pull, which is definitely not idea, and my forceps clipped to a strap. If the design included a couple well-placed D-rings or loops for essentials like forceps, floatant, or nippers, this would be a near-perfect setup. To the folks behind this pack. . . if you're reading, I'd genuinely love to swap this for an improved version.

After downsizing from a vest to a sling pack, I felt like I wanted something just a little smaller and this chest pack was perfect. Also great to have everything easily accessible in front of me at all times!

You can't beat it, in the river, on the boat, walking the flats, this is a great pack. You'll want one set up for every type of fishing you do. and at this price you can.
Just what I needed for day trips. Easily holds 3 large, slim fly boxes, extra spool, leaders, tippets, etc. Unlike slings or other chest packs, it seems to disappear while you are casting. the light back holds it in place and provides options for a net. Velcro patch on front will hold Simms velcro tippet holder. Allows you to travel light with everything you need.

Great chest pack, and the harness with pocket for tp and a powerbar really makes it stand out. Great rear zippered pocket for phone ensures you wont lose same when opening the big rear pocket for fly boxes. Ive fished it all day and never wished I had more room. Only complaint is no side attachment points for nippers and floatant. I attach my zingers for these items to the zipper pulls on the front and rear pockets and tuck the items inside the bag. This works, but Im just surprised at the absence, especially since a prior version of the Simms chest pack had the side attachment points. The forceps attachment point on the left harness strap works great for a righty, not sure a lefty would dig it. I use, and like, the bottle holder more than expected. So not quite perfect, but it beats anything else on the market.

I really like this chest pack as it is very comfortable to wear and holds everything you need for a day on the water, and nothing you dont. the main compartment will hold three large fly boxes and the front pocket holds all necessary terminal tackle. the back panel pocket is large enough to hold a packable rain jacket like my SIMMS Flyweight rain shell. I havent used the net slot yet, as when I wear this pack I just use the quot;Dquot; ring and a magnetic net retention system. There are a few things that I would like to see on this pack, like a daisy chain set up on each side of the front of the pack for attaching accessories and a SIMMS Tippet Caddy, and the magnetic tool dock placed on the front or side of the main body of the pack as it sits way up high on the left shoulder strap. I have learned to make friends with that setup though. Other tan that, it is an outstanding, affordable chest pack. that will give an angler years of reliable service.
I bought this pack early in the spring. I wanted something I could wear over a heavy coat. It worked perfectly. 2 fly boxes, tippet, floatant, strike indicators, split shot, and extra leaders all fist with room to spare. My long-handle net fits perfectly in the back. The straps are very comfortable. I have used it all year. Pure joy when wet wading on a hot day.
I fished for years with a vest and a backpack full of supplies. I wanted to simplify what I carry on the river, so I went with this simple Tributary Hybrid Chest Pack and have been very happy with my choice. It forces me to consolidate my fly selection for the day and my necessary tools in to an efficiently small form factor. The large pocket is great for fly boxes and the smaller pocket is good for things like floatant, indicators, and weights. If I could make it better, it would have dedicated rings for attaching zingers, the straps underneath would be slightly longer to work for a standard aluminum water bottle, and I would use closed zippers that do not snag fishing line.
