    Dangerous To Use Without Studs

These are potentially a great boot. The build quality is great. I used them a couple of days hiking into Bear Trap Canyon and they are quite comfortable offering great support on the trail. The problem comes when you get in the water. Madison River rocks aren’t really slick by my standards. I used a pair of a competitor boots for the 5 days before I got these and had no issues with slipping. The compound that Simms used in the rubber is clearly not acceptable for wading. Unless you plan to use studs, stay well clear of these unfortunately.

    Poor Durability

Purchased this boot 2 years ago. I’ve worn them extensively. Falling apart at present.

    Good Buy

A good fit and comfortable. The rubber sole is different than a felt sole.It took some getting used to on slippery river rocks but was fine overall.
