No Good

Boots don’t grip enough to keep you steady in the water.

Got The Sizing Right First Time

These appear to be solid wading boots and I haven’t put them to the test just yet, but I’m happy with the purchase. I wear a size 8 shoe angle got these in 9 to fit into my waders with neoprene-booties, and the fit is right on the money.

Bad Lacing, Light Weight

This boot has good traction for a wading boot. They are reasonably light. They are stiff initially in the heel collar but soften up, they have minimal padding. The eyelets are not reinforced, probably to save weight, and the loops of webbing used create significant friction on the lace and eyelet itself, causing premature wear. We typically break the laces and tear the eyelets out before the boot fails. We get about 150 days on the water before these boots need to be replaced. They seem overpriced but are lightweight.

Where’s The Ankle Support Gone?

After running the Mens fly weights since they came out loving them and walking them into ground I updated my gear at the start of the season only to be Super disappointed in the womens boot. When i put them on they fit great and were super comfortable but as soon as i stepped in the river i felt like there was no ankle support! I realised that unlike the men’s boot the womens have a deep V cut into pull tab/ archilles area meaning you lose ALOT of ankle support. Really unsure why they’ve done this? Will be going back to the men’s boot next time.

W's Flyweight Vibram Wading Boot

The boots are terrific. Lightweight yet rugged. And finally laces that only need a tiny tug to snug up the laces. For future reference, I do wish there were a few more places for studs in each boot. Sill a fabulous bot.
