    Socks Don't Get Any Better

    Set scene: Christmas morning, stockings stuffed -yes, by the chimney with care. And I hoped that SmartWool socks would tucked in there. They were! (I knew this ahead because I bought them myself.) I tore open the packaging and immediately dashed them on. There's nothing like the buttery feel of new cotton blend on the tops of my feet. They hit the perfect mark on the ankle, not too high to make them itchy but call enough to cover the ankle bone for some winter running. Doesn't get much better than this.
