The 4-way stretch knit fabric puts soft-brushed Merino wool next to skin while a durable, windproof front panel resists the elements. The fitted high-rise waist includes an adjustable drawcord to ensure a stay-put fit, with reflective elements on the exterior designed for added visibility.

The pants are very comfortable and functional. I'm pretty much living in these until it warms up. It's perfect for working from home as I can just run out for errands and walk the dog wearing these.

I Bought A Second Pair!

I use these pants as an outer layer for cold weather bicycling and xc skiing. They are the best I've tried. Bought a second pair. Would have bought a third as a gift but they were out of the size I needed. Unlike SportHill pants, these accommodate my 'athletic' (aka - bigger) thighs. Two things would make them better - wind proofing all the way to the ankle and bigger pockets.

I'm not a lover of a gathered ankle, I much prefer a zipper but these pants are undeniably warm. For going for a run in 20 degree weather, these pants are a must-have.

The Best Cold-weather Athletic Pants

I am a winter cyclist and these pants are FANTASTIC. I wanted something that was durable enough to keep up with fat biking on trails on snow and ice yet sleek enough to still wear commuting to work and these cover all the bases! The wind proof fabric is a game changer, especially on the coldest days. Easy to layer underneath, as well, with additional base layers or a shammy. My only complaint is that, at 5'10"" these pants are just a little short, and extra length at the ankles would be the only adjustment I'd need to make these the perfect winter cycling pants.

Awesome Wind Pants! You Have To Try Them.

I compared the wind pant with the wind tight and just loved the fit of the pants. They are exactly what I was looking for. We travel to Europe in May and it always surprises me how cold I always feel. Not next year! I've got my pants, smartwool tops, smartwool jacket, sw vest and even a hat. Thank you Smartwool for being a great company with great products!
