Looking Forward To Colder Temperatures
I bought this in the summertime, so I am looking forward to wearing this once it gets cold outside. I was concerned about this being too snug, especially in the shoulders and chest area, but it actually fit perfectly. There is ventilation in the underarm area to help with sweat. I like how the hood stays in place. I can't wait to try this as a base layer for cold weather-running and cross country skiing. The material is light enough to probably use for a hike in cooler temperatures.

I Bought It And Ended
I bought it and ended up returning it. It looked good on me, but there was a sewing defect on the right shoulder that created an odd bump and made the fit look awkward. The overall quality seemed good, but the fabric was a bit too thick for my preference.

Love The Design And Quality
I think this is a sporty and well crafted garment. Love the colour block design, the length and the feel. It's just a bit too tight around my hips.

Love It For Downhill Skiing.
I am using this as my second layer skiing. The front of the hoodie is substantial enough that I don't need to wear a buff. I do wish i noticed the care instructions (lay flat to dry. ) I followed the instructions. don't know if it shrunk a bit or not in my washer; now I wish I purchased the medium. Even with all that I really like this.

Great Athletic Base Layer, Balaclava Needs A Little Work
I use this top mainly for cross-country skiing. I really like most things about it, but the opening in the balaclava is too large, doesn't make a seal with goggles, or cover nose bridge and forehead at same time .

Great For Athletes In Cold Weather
Great for winter sports, meant to be a close layer. They didn't make it in my size. I'm returning it.

Go-to Uphill Top
So in love with this top! It has become my go-to for any high aerobic winter activity (primarily uphilling). Overall, it keeps me warm where I tend to get cold but also allows me to dump the massive amount of heat I tend to generate going uphill. Plus the neck/hood keeps the back of my neck warm and allows me to pull it over my mouth if I need some warm air. I usually end up ditching my gloves and the thumbholes give me the perfect amount of hand coverage.

Great But Too Short For A Long Torso
I am 5'10' and have a long torso. The XL fit me to my waist but no extra length (as pictured on the models). I was bummed- especially since I had just purchased my first Smartwool base wear XL and fell in love with it (plenty of length for my body type). I'm returning this jacket because it is too short for me. Really nice quality.

Favorite Style So Far
This is the perfect top for hiking, skiing, or snowshoes in the winter. The hood is very practical and gives great warmth and comfort around the neck. On top of this, it looks fantastic and warm.

Nice Addition To My Outdoor Gear
The hood comfortably covers my chin and nose. This feature is technically useful for warmth and protection, but not ideal for casual wear.

Warm, Breathable, And Super Comfortable
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been wearing the Women's Intraknit Thermal Merino Base Layer Hoodie for climbing, skiing, and trail running, and it's quickly become one of my favorite layers. It's super soft and comfy against the skin with no itchiness at all, and the seamless design makes it easy to move in under a backpack or jacket. When I was climbing, it got really hot in the sun and then super chilly in the shade, and this hoodie handled both perfectly—it breathed well when I was warm and kept me comfortable when the temperature dropped. For skiing, the hood is awesome—it fits nicely under a helmet, adds just the right amount of warmth, and stays put without feeling bulky. The odor control is great too; I've worn it multiple times without washing, and it still smells fresh. The only thing I'd change is the fit—it's a little tighter than I expected, especially around the shoulders and arms, so I'd suggest sizing up if you like a looser feel. Overall, it's an amazing base layer for any cold-weather activity, and I'd definitely recommend it to anyone who spends a lot of time outdoors. Smartwool gave me this free product to try, and I received it in exchange for my honest review.

Great But A Little Snug For My Liking!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review. The comfort of the shirt: Any Smartwool product I have owned is comfortable. I would wear it again. Sometimes the wool was a little itchy, but it went away fairly quickly. The breathabiity of the shirt: Very breathable and wicked away sweat but also kept me warm. The temperature control of the shirt: Amazing! I did not get hot or cold. The odor-neutralization properties of the shirt: I did wash it after my first wear, but I probably did not need to! it did a good job at keeping any odors at bay. The fit of the shirt: pretty snug for my liking!
