This is a great base layer that is also attractive when all the top layers come off. Very comfortable & perfectly warm, I'm only sorry it took me this long to buy them! My only warning is that the sizing runs a bit small. I'm 5'4, 117 lbs. Using the fit guide, I ordered an XS and it was too tight under the arms and I couldn't even get the pants over my hips! The small fits perfectly.

I bought these for a trip to Iceland in February. They are comfortable and warm, being the most important two things. I thought since these were intraknit they would fit better to your legs so they would be smooth underneath my other layer but they are kind of loose. I wore them under a horseback riding winter jumpsuit, under fleece lined hiking pants and sometimes around the property under a puffy skirt. I would recommend them with the caveat that if you are looking for a fitted layer, I wouldn't, but just for warmth yes. These are not like the previous smartwool pants I purchased which were more like activewear leggings

Again, I went to Norway, in the Artic and it kept me very warm as a base layer!

Loving the intraknit base layers, the higher waist is perfect and they move well for downhill skiing.

I've used these pants for my base layer for skiing and snowshoeing and LOVE them! Perfectly sized and comfy. Price is high but no other complaints!

I wear my Intraknit Themals under my pants, by themselves at home. They wash well air dry fast and I also have the matching top with contrasting white sleeves which is just perfect.

Extremely comfortable to wear. Does an excellent job of keeping you warm without being to bulky to move. Fits well under the jeans.

I love these Smartwool Intraknit merino thermal top and bottoms. I would buy them again. They are comfortable, very light, fit well, weight warm and comfortable. They are worth the price. I have several Smartwool products that have all worn well and given socks as gifts and the recipients loved their socks and are still wearing them years later.

I bought xxl for a very tall 1. 5 year old. They're a bit long but that's perfect for a growing bubs. Good quality

I absolutely love the Intraknit leggings -- the only caveat is that it does tend to rip easily. I ripped my first pair while pulling them on in a rush -- something my other leggings can survive. It seems if I apply acute pressure with one or two fingers to hook the leggings and pull them up, there's a good chance of ripping. I have so far ripped two pairs the same way; I'm treating the next ones very delicately.

I love the quality and warmth of these Smartwool pants. The merino wool feels soft, durable, and does a great job keeping me warm in cold conditions. Warmth and material quality are definitely standout features that justify the premium feel. The XL is a bit snug for me. Smartwool base layers and thermal pants are designed to fit close to the body so they can wick moisture and trap heat efficiently. That snug fit is intentional for performance but if you prefer a looser or more relaxed fit, that can feel limiting.

I like the design. Thickness for Antarctica but not bulky to wear under snow pants. Comfortable without compressing me. I think it will work for me.

I have a pair and wore them so much, I wore them out. So I bought a second! Versatile and look great.

Kept me warm and snug as a bug while hiking in below zero wind and snow. Thanks Smartwool!
Plan on using them for everyday life on cooler days. So far very comfortable. I bit long for me, and the waist is a bit tight (I'm very narrow through the hips Asian body type), but I think they will be great for cooler days
