We recommend you try helmets on before buying. Make sure the helmet fits with a little room when the fit system is loose, and sits low enough to protect your child’s forehead without hindering vision. Once you’ve got the right size, you can adjust the fit.

Not A Mips Helmet.
Careful when buying this helmet. The pictures show a helmet with a MIPS stick on it, but this is not a MIPS helmet. There is a MIPS version that costs a bit more. I reached out to Smith after making this purchasing mistake and haven't heard back.

Good Quality For $
Good quality middle of the road helmet. My wife tore her ACL skiing last week, but her head survived.

Comfy And Safe
I just had my first skiing experience with a helmet. I can't believe I skied for years with no helmet. The Smith Level MIPS is very comfortable and I feel very safe wearing it. The quality is top notch, not to mention it looks good. Unfortunately, my daughter had a bad fall, hitting her head and getting a concussion. She had an inexpensive helmet on with little padding (cheap helmet is still better than no helmet). I will be buying the whole family Smith Levels!

Smith Designs Quality Into Their Helmets
I already owned this MIPS Level helmet and was in a bad snowboarding accident. The helmet was cracked and crushed but saved me from any severe head injuries. Thanks Smith for building such a high quality helmet!! I bought a 2nd Level helmet and told all my friends to up-date their helmets to MIPS.

Smith Helmets
Good helmets I did have to return the first one because the outside shell come off for no reason but smith warranty team sent me a new one and so far it’s great probably was a defective product on the first one I received but all is good now no problems with the replacement

The Helmet Is Nice, But
The helmet is nice, but the Xlarge barely fits a big head.

Style And Comfort, The Level
Style and comfort, the Level has both. While not the most expensive or highest end helmet in Smith’s line, it performs like it is.

Gift For My Nephew
I was requested to get a new low profile ski helmet by my youngest nephew who helps me a lot with odds and ends. You always want to protect your loved ones, so I researched a helmet with MIPS technology and the Smith Level was prefect for him with all the features and we both loved the orange and black for visibility and a match with his skis. He also has a big dome, like me, so this low profile helmet was a natural fit!

I Own Another Smith Helmet
I own another Smith helmet for mountain biking and though that I could use the same sizing for a ski helmet. At first the helmet was much tighter than my MTB helmet despite being fit for the same size (L). After taking it out a few times so far this season, the helmet ended up being a great fit. It is snug, so there isn't much room for a layer underneath like a skullcap or beanie, but the helmet has provided adequate warmth in 0° weather here in CO. The MIPS system is very easy to use and allows for the most comfortable, yet tight fit you can get. The reason that I started trusting this system was because a family member got into what would have been a life-threatening accident, but was out of the ICU within a week of the accident due to their new MIPS equipped Smith helmet. Because of this, I am drawn to the brand, and because of the comfort and protection, I will continue to use the product. The only thing that I might have done differently was gotten an XL and cranked down on the MIPS so that I had the ability to wear an extra layer if need be. Other than that, great helmet!
