Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding I just received a pair of Guide's Choice with the Chromapop Bronze Mirror lenses. They are by far the best fitting and functional sunglasses I have owned in over 25 years of fishing. I have tried all the other brands and Smith beats them all. They are lightweight and provide excellent coverage. The arms are short enough that they don't interfere with hats and create pressure points. It is obvious that Smith listened to fishermen when they redesigned these. I can now stop searching for the perfect sunglasses.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sight to be Seen This is my second pair of Guide's Choice, the first is bouncing along the bottom of the Farmington River after a misplaced step and subsequent swim while wet wading during a recent fly fishing trip. These glasses are on the short list of items I grab when I hit the river for a fishing excursion. Polarized is a must when you are trying to see through the glare of the water on a sunny day, but what really shines on these is the addition of Chromapop. It is a whole different view when you don a pair of glasses with that new must-have technology. Its just a pleasurable experience wearing them, colors are vibrant and crisp. Two thumbs up to Smith!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from lenses are spectacular I'm not going to comment on the fit or style. As for fit, my head is a goofy shape and it's rare that I find a pair that fits my face. This pair fits me great but everyone's face is different. As for style, well let's just say I have a face that only a mother could love. Quality appears to be good but I've only had these a week so I can't speak to durability. But they appear to be well built. But the lenses - WOW. I've never had such spectacular lenses. Quite honestly, at this price point, they had better impress me. Thankfully they did. I wanted the best fishing sunglasses, and I'm not disappointed. They're pretty spectacular.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfortable Contrast After searching high and low to replace 6 year old(!) active wear shades, I stumbled upon the Guide's Choice. I'm not a guide but I can see why these shades would be a good choice for one; comfortable fit for all day wear, excellent coverage for sun and wind protection, solidly built and the Chromapop lense is simply remarkable. I've never experienced a lense that is so good across such a wide spectrum of light- overcast, partly, cloudy, bright sun, these lenses provide protection, clarity and contrast in all of it. I hesitated to go with the bronze lense but I'm glad I did as it helps make even heavy overcast skies look like a good day to be outside!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best pair of Smith optics yet Just got them yesterday. I have the Techlite Polarchomic Ignitor and love them. I got these as soon as I saw they had a glass lens version of the Ignitor. I have the Frontman with the ChromaPop Polarchromic Ignitor lens. Love them but have never liked plastic lenses aways worn glass. I also have the Chamber with the Techlite Polarchromic Copper lens. The Guide's Choice are by far the best. I fly fish in different lighting and the Ignitor lens is the best I have ever had. They come with a really cool intergraded leash system. The Ignitor lens makes the trout pop in the water better than any other lens color I have ever had. And as for day to day use my eyes have never been happier. I live in Phoenix AZ where the sun is always blazing and bright and love them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Explore with style... I love these and might actually get another pair here soon. I use these for hiking, fly fishing, mountain biking and when I'm out in the mountains photographing for work. They've become an essential part of my backcountry gear list. 1. Avy Gear... check 2. Other gear...check 3. Smiths....check 4. Beer....well, duh... 5. Smith lens cloth.... check They hug my face like a koala bear and fully block out peripheral light. This is ideal when your 13,000 feet up and the suns reflections are overbearing. I'd highly recommend these if you want a casual looking yet very functional pair of sunglasses.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Guide's Choice Chromapop+ Polarchromic Ignitor I like the fit of the glasses, but they do fog up when you are exerting and getting hot. As for the lens am a bit disappointed. First none of the dealers had this lens option for me to try/ see before purchasing. I was expecting kind of like the transition lens where they are light and turn a lot darker in sunlight. But they seem to stay the same tint all the time. What I purchased these for was the earlier cloudy days. What I have found is these work good in full sunlight but my other manufactuer Green mirror lens actual work better in low light than these. If I had to do it again, I probably would go with the chromapop+ and a specific lens color in the same guides choice frame.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than Costa and $100 cheaper I returned a pair of 580 glass Costa Tuna Alleys for these and I can tell you, from experience, that these are not only 300% lighter, they're also better for fishing. I got the CP+ lenses and they outperform The Costa's in every way. The only reason I rated the quality one short of 100% is bc they are very light and only time will tell if they can hold up. Also, complete user error but I had a huge horsefly land on my neck and when I smacked it off, I caught the integrated leash (which is awesome but a little frustrating to put on the first time) and ripped one of the connectors in half. I would recommend ordering a second leash when ordering these glasses, they're only $6 w/ discount.
