Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice Knife!!! I first saw this knife when a friend purchased one. They had the serrated version, I had to look pretty hard to find the non-serrated version - just a personal preference...It's a nice knife, I have had it for a few weeks now. The safety lock sometimes, slides on its own, allowing me to accidentally open the knife in my pocket... Nothing overly dangerous, just kind of annoying. The knife is fairly rugged, i would place it right in the middle of the scale for ruggedness.Overall, I am pretty happy with it!! Kudos for Dick's sporting goods for being the only company around that carried it!!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Knife As soon as I got this knife out of the box, I loved it. It could have been a little bit sharper, as it passed the "fingernail test" but failed to shave the air on my arm or leg. Of course, just a little sharpening fixed this problem. Knife seems really durable and the assisted opening is extremely easy to use. Even though the pocket clip does not come off, it is still relatively easy for a left handed person like myself to use. My only problem with the knife is the fact that the safety is somewhat difficult to disengage quickly. Without the safety on, the knife has only opened in my pocket once, but it could easy become an issue if I were to move around a lot. Overall, this knife is great, fairly light, easy to conceal, and could be used for almost anything.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stick with Smith & Wesson's M&P lineup I'm on my 3rd or 4th because I keep giving them away to happy friends. The spring assist is very sure of itself and does not misfire. Open like a standard one handed opener; or use your index finger on the nub on the back. My 10 year old has no problem opening. Blade has a good edge out of the box. Blade shape has some tanto influence for puncture strength. It is thick and heavy. Don't go with the base S&W products. They are disappointing especially after using the heartier M&P lines.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Tactically delicious My family and I do plenty of shopping at Dicks. For workout gear, shoes, ammo, you name it. As a member of the rewards program I recently received a certificate for $40 and have been wanting a new assisted blade since my last camping trip. This one immediately caught my eye and they had one in the case to try out. Being from Massachusetts and a fan of Smith and Wesson and the M

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great knife I really like this knife so far! It weighs a little more than the others I looked at which is what I liked. I want to be able to feel the weight in my hand. I work in the oilfields and sometimes one hand is occupied and I need to use the other hand to cut what is being worked on, so the spring assist opening has been very useful so far.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great blade This is a very durable knife. It holds an edge well and rarely needs sharpening. Fits comfortably in my pocket. Opens rapidly with or without the button. Only bad thing I have noticed is there is a small rattle when the safety lock is off. It is very silent when the lock is on.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A fun, reliable little weapon The sleek design paired with the reliable spring assist makes this one of the most fun knives I've ever owned. Besides the fact that it looks like a small transformer, the weapon provides me with the peace of mind and security that only a Smith and Wesson can.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Knife! Love the quick action and comfortable grip. Great weight to it as well, and you can feel the quality in the sturdiness. Just watch your pinky finger when it comes out or you might catch it on the spring release ;) Nothing a little band aid wont fix.
