Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth way more that they're asking. I've gone through a massive amount of knives, I really only then irk, work around the home. I bought this knife in Misgawaka,IN well over a year a year ago. I ended up replacing the sharpening stoke an old work wet stone. Other than that, there's so much that can be done with knife being amazing and costumizable I've managed to pack the whetstone, a bic lighter, a compass, well over 100 feet of paracord, fire steel and a climbing carabiner, it's held edge incredibly great. If you have to buy a camping or work knife like I did, I've put this knife through heck and back. Just normal wear and tear on the sheathe. I hope this helps, and before you go buy s different one if suggest really holding this one.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Seems like a good knife, but the sheath isn't the best design. This knife was sharp right out of the package. I haven't taken it into the woods yet, but it feels like a good solid knife. The description doesn't say it was full tang, so I figured it wouldn't be, but it is full tang. The sheath design isn't the best. You have to use two hands to put it in because the snap strap that holds the knife in place is too thick and curves around, requiring you to pull the strap ends out of the way to get the knife into the sheath. To the person who said that he found a similar knife with a hollow handle to store things, you bought an inferior knife to this one. One of the good things about a knife is having a full tang. A hollow handled knife doesn't have a full tang.Even though I clicked yes on recommending this knife (it only gives two options, yes or no), I won't say yes or no on recommending this knife yet, since I haven't field tested it, but so far it seems to be an ok knife.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not a Best Buy at all I returned this knife. After buying it I found another store locally that had a similar knife/sheath for half the price, with a hollow handle to store a compass, matches, twine & hooks, etc., with a wood saw top blade. Only difference was the price and the other one didn't include a sharpening stone. But the hollow handle w/ supplies is great a definite plus. To be labeled a "search and resue" this Smith & Wesson knife is not up to the job.
