Rated 5 out of 5 by from One of the best knives on the market Received the knife as a Christmas gift and couldn't have been happier with the wifes pick. I had seen the SOG Flash II while shopping for other guns and ammo gear and thought to myself I would really like to have one but just couldn't justify the price at the time. Now that I have one I have been kicking myself for not buying one earlier. The assisted opening is crisp and quick while the lockup is solid. There is virtually no slop between the blade and body of the knife. It's got a good edge to start with and with just a little work it can be used to shave with. Of all the knives I have owned this is without a doubt the best. It is now my EDC and will most likely be in my pocket til doomsday.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great gift! I bought this a month or so ago for a friend's re-enlistment. Someone had bought me a SOG once and I love the quality and how it's held up after daily use. I chose this one due to the easy one-hand open feature, plus the serrated edge and the locking mechanism. I also think it's just a very attractive blade. I had it personalized with my buddy's rank, name, and nickname. He absolutely LOVED it; I'm very happy I went with this knife and I'll definitely be ordering more SOG products for memorable gifts again in the future.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great knife for everyday use ok first off. I used this knife for at least a year now and it is still as good as I got it. Never sharpened it and it cuts like a hot knife through butter. Very comfortable for everyday carry and is just a all around great knife for the price

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this knife I'd been looking at getting a bigger knife for my hikes in the woods, and was bewildered by the huge range available. A friend had a Flash II and it looked really good, so I looked at the SOG range overall. After much thought I decided I would also have a Flash II. It's about as easy as it's possible to be to open, it's easy to close one-handed despite having a locking mechanism, and it's extremely sharp right out of the box. Out of interest I tried shaving arm hairs and it left a near-perfectly smooth patch of skin. My only concern with it is that it is so sharp I have to be careful when using it in ways I never had to worry about with my old knife!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This knife is my baby xD My friend gave me this knife three months ago and I absolutely love it. I take it everywhere because I have discovered that I definitely trust this knife to save my life. My Flash stays sharp through heavy abuse, it's the easiest knife to sharpen on anything from concrete to sandpaper or the bottom of a coffee mug. The SOG assisted opening tech delivers the blade lightning fast, faster then one of my switchblades, it opens with the flick of the wrist. It really opens "in a flash." This knife has earned its way into my pocket, which even benchmade and cold steel have had a hard time earning the title of my EDC. My SOG FLASH II earned it in no time. This knife is my baby.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Awesome knife but it does have some issues... I loved this knife before just recently loosing it. The good... The opening mechanism is a joy to operate. The knife opens quickly with such a satisfying click. I loved opening this knife every time. This knife also just feels good. It's not too thin, not too light or heavy, it's just right. The neutral... The steel used is very hard and I found was a challenge to sharpen. Some may like this others may not. I tend to like a little softer metal that I can resharpen after every couple of uses. The bad... The clip is nice to use but bends easily. SOG sent me a free replacement and the second one wore out after a few months. When it wears out the knife can catch on things and extract itself from your pocket. I just lost my knife this way and I didn't realize it until it was too late. The locking mechanism works great when used but I never got in the habit of using it. One time the knife was partially open in my pocket and I received a very nasty cut from it. Yes it was my fault but be aware that it could happen to you. The serrations seem to take up a pretty large chunk of the blade. Sometimes it was handy but most times i would have preferred a solid blade. Not that big of a deal though. In summary I loved this knife and am mourning the loss of it. I'm about to break down and buy another one because I miss having it in my pocket every day.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So good, I want to buy another! I had my Flash II for many years and it has served me very well. This knife is relentlessly durable. I have beat and abused this knife a lot, but it just won't break! A list of everything I've done to this knife: -Thrown it at a brick wall about 20 times -Dropped it off a roof onto concrete -Hit the blade repeatedly with a hammer -Clogged it up with sand -Left it in saltwater -Left it in a chlorinated pool -Disassembled it Probably more that I can't remember If you're looking for an affordable knife that will last you an eternity, this is it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lightweight and Reliable As a woman, I can carry this knife in my purse or my pocket. It is lightweight so it does not weigh me down. The spring assist really sells itself. I definitely recommend it. I have purchased it three times due to the fact that I have misplaced it.
