This knife futs comfortable in my hand, I’m a 5’4” female , & opens swift with 1 hand faster than any knife I’ve tried! It’s effective for everyday use &, I’m sure I could count on it for defense as the blade is a perfect length & stays sharp! I bought this knife a few years in a Dicks Sporting Goods store in my area recommended by an employee! I misplaced it & searched for & found it upon arriving back from a vacation which is why I took my SOC out of my handbag - to get on airplane thinking I wouldn’t use on an island! Simple And Functional

The Flash II Straight edge is light, durable, sharp, and the edge is holding up well. Really great for camping and working but slightly big/bulky for around town / casual. I was looking for a knife to carry on my person anywhere, anytime - I would prefer something slightly smaller to carry in public and just walking/biking around. The glass break tip has poked me a few times while carrying on my belt and in my pocket - could do without.
