This knife futs comfortable in my hand, I’m a 5’4” female , & opens swift with 1 hand faster than any knife I’ve tried! It’s effective for everyday use &, I’m sure I could count on it for defense as the blade is a perfect length & stays sharp! I bought this knife a few years in a Dicks Sporting Goods store in my area recommended by an employee! I misplaced it & searched for & found it upon arriving back from a vacation which is why I took my SOC out of my handbag - to get on airplane thinking I wouldn’t use on an island! The Flash II Straight edge is light, durable, sharp, and the edge is holding up well. Really great for camping and working but slightly big/bulky for around town / casual. I was looking for a knife to carry on my person anywhere, anytime - I would prefer something slightly smaller to carry in public and just walking/biking around. The glass break tip has poked me a few times while carrying on my belt and in my pocket - could do without.
