Rated 2 out of 5 by from Very soft metal I bought this Kukri blade a little over a month ago, and on the first camping trip out while swinging it at small branches that were growing across our path, the blade got bent and even chipped. It is made from very weak metal, and I am not impressed. However the saw blade side cuts wonderfully. Both sides of this blade are very sharp when purchased. If it was hardened properly it would make for an amazing blade. I'm probably going to keep it and bring it to someone to have it resharpened if possible. It is bent badly too so I don't know. It's a bit too late to bring it back, but I might try and do so for store credit on a different machette. It is a $30 blade. You get what you pay for I guess.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great tool I had bought this in an attempt to go camping/ motocamping soon after buying it. Haven't had the chance to go camping yet; but I did have a tree fall in my yard and I took that as a great opportunity to use this blade. It was awesone. I managed to clear off every branch (tree was about 25 feet tall) in less that 45 minutes and cut them all up into managable, useable sized pieces for a fireplace. The blade held up amazingly well, kept a sharp edge, and has no sign of use other that sap on the flat sides. I cant wait to take this camping, Im sure it'll be a great asset to my other camping gear! Thanks SOG!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't buy. Here is why... 1. Does not fit in sheath. It is too tight for the blade to go all the way in and some blade remains exposed.2. Sheath is not of good design and quality. As mentioned above, it is too tight. Along with that, there is a zipper on the blade side that does not need to be there (mine broke open anyways). The velco is a great idea and works good BUT where it comes around the blade side it is lined with some sort of cheep plastic that cracked and broke.3. BLADE IS TOO THIN! It's fine if you cutting pine bows but that's about it. Mine bent rendering an entire part of the blade useless.4. The saw is pointless. Too corse to use. No good way to hold it while using it anyways. It just chews up the sheath as you draw it in and out.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Sturdy knife I just received the brother of two knives, the warrior and the primitive, I bought a few years ago. The kukri is a very nice knife. It works very well cutting through the underbrush. Haven't used the saw-back yet, but it has a more aggressive tooth pattern than the primitive. Only two things bother me about the series. First, they are made in China. Second, for the kukri only, the belt loop on the sheath should be solid like the other two. Overall though, they are great knives for the money.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Kubrick machete Just O K. The saw top side is to thick . Takes a lot to cut even a small limb . My mistake , didn't realize it was made over seas , would not have bought it .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from SOGfari Kukri is a must own What an amazing tool! The blade was razor sharp right of the package and the feel of it in your hand is terrific thanks to the kraton handle and the overall balance. It doesn't say on the website but it is full tang. I have used it for awhile now and the coating is the same as when I bought it. The saw actually works great and the blade glides through everything I have thrown a it and that includes splitting seasoned logs. Also, I only paid $25 for mine which is a great deal. I for sure recommend this one!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This Thing is Incredible I got stuck in deep deep snow in my pickup truck yesterday, I was being cautious with my maneuvering because there was a large fallen tree about a foot in diameter at the center, and 30 feet long blocking my desired route. Luckily I had my Kukri with me, for the sole purpose of showing my friends how cool it was, to save the day. I began chopping away with the blade side and within 5 minutes had gone all the way through the tree. You can imagine my sheer amazement and joy when I finally made it out of the snow all thanks to my Kukri. Way to go SOG, A+ work. (I would include photos but must of them are captioned with inappropriate language, still great product)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dependable. No question would I recommend buying one of these. After three weeks in the woods cutting firewood for the season (chainsaw, not this knife) it (the knife) has earned its place on my hip and almost entirely taken the place of two other tools. Between splintering off kindling and bucking small pieces to get the morning fire going, clearing paths through the brush, cutting rope as well as clearing shooting lanes for opening weekend, this knife stands up well. So well, in fact, I bought one for my girlfriend. She loves hers too.
