Lightweight Sharp Fidgety Bad As

Super lightweight and innovative all milled carbon fiber liners. Multiple ways to open for great fidgeting. Blade still dead center and the coating on the blade is still great. I accidentally hit some concrete cutting and it didn’t damage the blade edge. Seems to be a great heat treatment. Made in China , but I don’t see any skimping. I figure to compete for the bm bugout market SOG has to cut the price point somewhere.

Great But Not Perfect

Great knife. The reason it loses a star is the XR lock feels gritty since its rubbing with the liner and the finish is wearing on the pocket clip after ~ 4 months of carry. Other then that the blade is good, the XR lock hasn't failed me and the bearings are nice and smooth.

Great Knife Not So Great Gold Coating!

I love the knife. Works very well, sharp, light, and easy opening and closing. Perfect EDC. But the coating is not durable. Hopefully not everyone has this problem. I'd recommend this to a friend but not the gold one.

Copper Action

When I saw this little guy with copper scales I immediately decided to purchase it to go along with my 3 other SOG folders. Love the look and feel of the knife. Blade perfectly centered without any wobble. Action good all three ways; flipper, thumb studs, & with xr lock. Lock up is rock solid and the cryo CPM s35vn blade is razor sharp out of the box. The reason only four stars is because the pivot screw is so tight that I can’t even move it ( believe me when I say i tried multiple times without any success) therefore making it unable to adjust. This is unacceptable for a knife at this price point!

Action is lumpy. The finish pits and corrodes easily despite very little use.

Save Your Money

Bought this knife for its lightweight, cool aesthetic, and CPM S35VN blade steel at a seemingly reasonable price. Within a week of carrying, and barely using it, the coating began to show spots that look like rust. After scrubbing them with a sponge and vinegar, it doesn't seem that they are rust, just dark spots on the blade coating. Now, after a couple of months, the spots are even worse and continue to grow. I tried to submit a warranty claim, but I don't have the original receipt, so I essentially wasted $140 on a knife that can't hold an edge despite its "high quality" steel, and that continues to deteriorate on its own with little to no use. The lock also makes a plastic rattle noise when you move the knife in certain ways.

They changed the color from a yellow gold which was awesome to a more dull rose gold which is very ugly. Very disappointed since the acquisition.

Light As A Feather!

I purchased this knife a few weeks ago from a men’s online retailer (they sold out fast) and it’s been incredibly functional. I’m in Florida and in the heat I often wear workout style shorts- which means any added bulk is not welcome. Not surprisingly, this feather light knife is perfect…I forget I have it with me till I need it!
