Best Treadmill Purchase / Worth The Money!!

I did a lot of research, spent about 2-months researching before deciding to purchase. I am EXCITED, HAPPY that I went with the SOLE F85! Excellent treadmill with everything needed from light to medium to heavy/rigorous workouts! Love the built in programs and classroom sessions. You choose from selected programs or tailoring program to your needs! The built in apps are a plus and all apps work great with good connected wi-fi. Please don’t waste your money on paying for the treadmill where you have to purchase a subscription plus have a subscription in order to use the media apps. You get all of this plus more for FREE, included with the purchase. The SOLE Fitness app is great. The two negatives are the fan and the placement of the bar when working out. Since these are minor, it will not affect your decision.

Fails At Steep Uphill Walking

I set out to purchase the best treadmill I could find for uphill walking, as running is not an option for me. I’ve owned Sole Fitness equipment in the past and have generally been pleased with the quality compared to competitors. However, my recent purchase of the Sole F85, marketed as a top-of-the-line treadmill, has been a major disappointment. When walking at inclines above 12 degrees, the belt does not maintain a consistent speed. Instead, it noticeably accelerates under my weight, reaching near running speeds, which completely defeats my purpose. I specifically wanted to maintain a steady 2.5 mph pace at a 15-degree incline, but that simply isn’t possible due to the lack of a mechanism or a weak feedback control, to stabilize the speed under these conditions. Had I known this limitation beforehand, I would not have made such purchase as this is not exactly a budget friendly treadmill.

Dick's 90 Days Return Policy Is Misleading!

1) Dick's 90-day return policy is for unopened box only. DON'T be misled. Once the box is opened, treadmill assembled and tested, all issues with the treadmill need to contact the manufacturer Sole. Dick's take zero responsibility. 2) Dick's Sunnyvale store service was 2-stars. The loading department made ZERO effort to help tie down the oversize box. They walked away once the box is loaded onto your car (I have Sienna XLE minivan). 3) The fan on the treadmill is very poor quality. It's design/ location on the treadmill do not cool off the user!

All Around, Well Constructed Treadmill

No subscription, nice display, sturdy, durable construction for heavy users and is a good treadmill for uphill walking. I dropped 1 point for the abysmal speaker and audio quality. I ended up getting an iPad a16 and mounted it up top on the tablet holder to watch my YouTube videos, shows and listen to music.

I was looking for a sturdy treadmill that would withstand weight when running hard and not shake my phone about and this treadmill does the job well. The wireless charger stays working perfectly while I’m running. The built in apps work seamlessly with wifi. Screen mirroring works well for select apps. Treadmill is huge but I was able to set it up myself.

Love Our Sole F85!

We absolutely love our SOLE F85! My husband, my daughter, and I all use it regularly, and one of the best features is that we can each have our own profiles, which makes it so easy to personalize our workouts. We also really love the large screen and the various apps and workout videos, which make the experience feel modern, easy to use, and even more motivating. I upgraded from my 11 year old f63 and didn’t t Realize how far technology has progressed More than enough preloaded programs so as not to get bored plus the free app can keep you going for months without repeating a workout

Don't Buy This!! Didn't Work At Assembly. Resolution Pending.

UPDATED 3/3/2026: Went from 2 stars to 1 star based on customer service. The promised repair date from Sole has passed. I was just told by Sole that the parts are still pending. Its been over a month and its going to be at least another 2 weeks. They don't seem to care about resolving my issue. I would not do this again. To spend this kind of money and have a non-functioning treadmill for over a month is frustrating and an embarrassment for Sole. I purchased 1/27/2026. The lower console buttons not working after assembly. Replacement console/parts on back order until end of February. Partially functional but disappointing to spend this much money and it not work. Issue pending resolution as of 2/18/2026. Large display for streaming is nice but the touchscreen interface response is sluggish and it takes more time to connect than a smart phone, tablet, or PC. If you don't want/need the decline feature, you'd likely be happier with a less expensive model and a tablet PC for your entertainment. Stability, deck width, incline/decline are nice. Speed and incline/decline adjustment are a bit slow but not a bother for me walking. Touchscreen controls are a little far to reach. I like being able to access included Sole workouts without adding another service. If it worked at assembly and I could have used the buttons on the lower console, I likely would have rated it 3 or maybe 4 stars. I feel like its not 'as advertised by Sole' but still pretty solid.

I bought this four months ago. Yesterday it wouldn't turn on. Customer service was intiially fine, but it will take weeks for it to be fixed, which I find unacceptable. We took the cover off last night and found the wires charred. Huge safety concern
