Great Treadmill, Could Be Better

I was looking to purchase a new treadmill without a subscription when I came across the Sole F89. I am pleased with this purchase. Seems to be very well built, has streaming apps already loaded like Netflix and Prime, does not require a subscription, has a very large screen, and has elevation and downhill! Super cool. Thinks that kept me from a 5 start rating? Screen is large but could be brighter and I wish I could tilt the screen. The interface is a tablet and takes time to boot up and stays on for 15 minutes. I would like the ability to choose which metrics I see when streaming like pace per mile. Other than that I really have no complains and am very happy with my purchase.

Poor Customer Support

Paid $3000 for this treadmill. I also paid an extra $300 to have it set up in my home.The treadmill was defective and NEVER worked.Sole offered to repair it and I requested a single year extra warranty because I feared I was getting a lemon.Sole refused. (I guess Sole could not bet on their treadmill lasting more than a year!) Sole then charged me $300 to have the defective treadmill sent back. Buyer beware indeed! Would avoid Sole products.

Not Impressed

Don’t bother getting this version because of the screen, it is bigger and horrible. The speakers on it are probably the worst I’ve ever heard. Had to put it together at least twice because after completing it didn’t calibrate just kept erroring out. Also the calibration instructions are wrong for this model just keep hitting the word settings like 10 times to get to it. But after several tries reading the manual and Reddit still couldn’t fix it and finally found a wire that was broken so had to splice it to get the tread working. Was not a pleasant experience and couldn’t even use it for the first week.

Very Nice Machine

After three weeks, I'm very pleased with this treadmill. I chose the SOLE F89 over others because I perceived SOLE to be a more open ecosystem by allowing streaming services to be natively available. It's not perfect as there are other apps I would like to add, but I am able to cast these from my mobile device as a work around. Hopefully this may open up to additional streaming apps or option to install from the store. I chose basic delivery and had a very smooth experience. Assembly was fairly easy. The box is HUGE, and I needed a helper to hold parts in place during assembly. My setup is on the ground level with tile floors. Once assembled, moving the F89 is easy -- also something I believe is a big plus for SOLE. I use the integrated fitness tracker, and it picks up my heartrate from the watch. This was important to me as I transitioned from another brand just to see my heartrate for the F89. The display is great. Sound is poor. Bluetooth is sketchy and doesn't reconnect drops. It appears this was a problem with my first attempt headset/earbuds disconnecting and the treadmill not reconnecting. I swapped out the earbuds with a different set and it is much more stable. Build quality seems excellent. The belt and incline motors are very quiet. No creaks, squeaks, or strange noises. I'm happy with the responsiveness of the speed and incline adjustments. The paddle controls are very nice.

Apps Don't Work And There Is No Fix - Don't Buy

Very disappointed that the Apps don't work as advertised. Hulu does not work, as it looks for a location setting. Sole tech support says it is a "known issue", but there is nothing on the website when purchasing saying Hulu and other apps don't work (and NO FIX currently). Don't waste your money spending extra dollars for the bigger display, you will end up using a phone or tablet where the Apps work. The Sole display will just get in the way of a device that works. Seems like Sole rushed to get this to market before the holidays and did not do quality control and testing. Maybe they will come up with a fix, but until then it was a waste of money to get this model and pay extra for the bigger display.

my review isnt positive. The unit received in broken, the screen is inoperable, the unit does not work without the screen. I cant get a date on a screan replacement as they are on back order and no date can be given for a replacement. Its been 3 weeks now and no update. time to return the unit I guess…

Great Running Treadmill

Bought for me and the wife. So far, so good. We like the classes. No membership fees, which is great. I put it together myself. Had to rethread some of the trim screws. We really like that we can use our apps (Netflix, Hulu, etc) will we run. Would recommend to anyone.

New and doesn't work. Just out of box and pops 20 amp squareD circuit breaker and they want me to diagnose the issue.
