Solid machine for the money. Ability to use the screen is a major plus

I recently unboxed my new Sole TT8. The assembly was honestly nowhere near as difficult as I thought it was going to be (it is easily assembled with two people). The treadmill also has front wheels for easy movement. The fact you don't need to subscription to run the treadmill like many of these other money grab companies is AWESOME. I love that it has preset apps like Netflix and Hulu to watch. The treadmill itself runs super smooth and has a great cushioning system for which I don't feel any harsh impact on my joints. I'm hoping this treadmill lasts for a long time, but for right now it was a great investment and I would highly recommend.

This treadmill has it all and you dont need a monthly subscription to take advantage!

This is a great tread for reference im 145 5’5 and my husband is 260 and he’s 6’5 and he can sprint on it comfortably. We love it.

Save yourself $3,000 and just buy it straight from the manufacturer. DSG won’t price match and will try to tell you they are different models but they aren’t. https://www.soletreadmills.com/products/sole-tt8

Had the F80 for over 10 years and had to replace the deck and belt and control board once. This year the control board went out again, and decided to get a new and more sturdy (non folding) treadmill. Couldn't be happier with the TT8. Nice large screen to watch media and track your fitness. So much more capability since the late 2000s.

I've had this for about 3 months now and I've put just over 300 miles on it. My review is based on using this machine in a very simple manner: I don't use any media or programming options - I just hit start and control everything manually. Pros: - Solid and stable feel - No need to lube the belt. I had all sorts of maintenance issues with my prior treadmill, a Sole F85 - Has decline mode Cons: - The touchscreen! They outfitted this model with a standard consumer-grade touchscreen. When I work out, I sweat -- and standard consumer-grade touchscreens can't handle sweat. One drop of sweat on the screen in the wrong place and it starts going crazy. This is a massive flaw especially in a machine billing itself as "light commercial." I "fixed" this issue by taping a piece of plastic bag over the screen. Which makes my new treadmill look just wonderful. I would purchase a properly fitted plastic cover if one were available... - The software. Seems stable enough, but has a lot of usability issues. Speed controls lock up every minute for about a second; on-screen speed controls are hidden under a weird menu; informational counters (e.g. pace, calories) that are configurable are not saved for next time; and so on. - The hood. The geometry is odd and you have to tread carefully to avoid hitting it. In addition, at least in my case the hood rattled at higher paces. I had to put some rubber shims between it and the frame in order to silence it. (Why didn't Sole spend an extra $0.05 per unit to ship it this way..? This is a "high end" treadmill, really?) - In decline mode, especially at higher paces, the machine started slowly rolling forward when it was bare on the floor (high density rubber gym tiling). I had to fix this by fixing the front wheels in place using a board. Why is there no wheel lock on this "high end" treadmill? - Support. I wrote to support about some of these issues and didn't receive a reply until I followed up six weeks later. Took another three days, after which I was told that there's nothing that can be done about any of this. Overall... I feel like the main actual treadmill bits are solid and will last a long time (with the possible exception of the speed and incline adjustments on the side; I'm concerned that they're not sweat-resistant and will die quickly, but we'll see). However, between all of the hacks I had to do and the fact that the software is kind of crappy, I'm not super happy with this purchase. I've stayed in several hotels since buying this machine, and have run on Precor, Lifetime Fitness, and other machines; these real commercial brands have much better and smoother user interfaces, more solid speed control hardware, and touchscreens that don't mind a few drops of sweat. So at the moment I probably recommend passing on the TT8.

My wife and I really enjoy our new TT8 treadmill. It feels very solid, quiet and smooth. It is easy to control. I don't know that I'll ever use the media features, but they seem to work well. I like the wireless charging pad for my phone as well. I can't make my existing Sole heart monitor connect, so I'll quit trying.

Heavy duty machine with a good amount of features.

Tech needs serious work. App is a mess. You'd think you could just program a simple interval workout like 4 minutes on 1 minutes off. You cannot. The mobile app is also a slow mess. They have cheaper out on developers and the tablet that runs the machine must be ancient.

This Sole TT8 is replacing my S77 purchased 8 years ago. This is our 4th Sole purchase. We have an elliptical, bike and now 2nd treadmill from Sole. There was over 7,000 miles on the S77 before we retired it. Any worn parts were replaced under warranty without issue. Customer service was prompt and easy to work with. But technology changes over 8 years and we felt it was time to upgrade. The TT8 is a beast. Heavy and solid. Consider where you plan on placing the treadmill before purchase. Large interactive screen, quiet motor, speed and elevation controls easy to reach make adjusting your run a breeze. Programmed routines are extensive. Far different from the S77. Wifi brings options for an abundance of classes, routines and streaming video selections. The multi user login and data capture makes personal goal details more visible. The ability to add favorite routines to the main screen is a big plus. After 88 days of ownership and 622 miles logged, I'm a happy Sole TT8 owner.

I love the TT8. It was the only machine built strong enough for my weight. Weight which was exactly why I bought it. I’m a 315 pound man. No other companies offered the weight limit I needed. I use it daily. I had a hip replacement and had to get under 300 and did. I was doing 11 miles a day on recumbent bike and needed the TT8 for additional training to keep the weight off. Doctors orders. Been doing a mile a day. No complaints on the machine .only two small issues for me. Actually one and one thing to consider. I can’t stand the fact you can’t hide the icon to advance between the media screen and the control screen. It lets you minimize it which leaves it horribly in your way and make it smaller which isn’t small at all , if Soke pays attention to this. Please update this to allow it to be hidden totally without popping back up. The other note is if you have a 7 foot ceiling, I am 6’2” when you use decline you can hit your head. So be aware of that. But mostly doesn’t interfere with me as I’m just fast walking for now. I’ve also had 6 discs fused and have a cage and rods in my lower back. I refuse to be a cripple and the TT8 is one tool that will keep me playing with my grandchildren for years to come. God willing. It’s really worth every penny. It’s a solid well built machine.

We owned a Sole treadmill that was at least 15 years old. It was study and able to run as well as walk on it. I used it daily for running and my husband used it for walking. At times I liked to go fast so the side pieces and front pieces worked out well when I needed to hold on as my hands fit around them. Our new SOLE treadmill is also very sturdy, extremely heavy but the side pieces don’t have handles and the front handle is set far to the front. I can only hold onto the front bar which then has me running at the very front of the treadmill. If there were handles on the sides, I could run farther back and make more use of the entire length of the treadmill. I miss the side and front handles from the previous model.

It's a great treadmill. I'm 6ft 5in and the deck and motor are very stout and built heavy. The only reason why I'm not giving it 5 stars is because I feel the buttons to quickly change your speed on the right hand side of the console are a little too far away when you are sprinting and want to slow down without having to jump off the belt. If the whole console was another 6 inches closer, it would be 5 stars

Love the treadmill, however the heart rate monitor is faulty. When I received the treadmill it was not working at all after install/delivery. Repair person sent to my home. It works now (at least there is a number on the display), however the reading blinks off and on or stays at the same number during activity. Gave 4 stars vs. 5 because of the faulty heart rate monitor.
