Rated 2 out of 5 by from Width way too narrow I received my boots a few days ago, but haven't been able to wear them yet. They are sitting in the corner with a boot stretcher inside. I read all the reviews that stated they were true to size, and had room even with thicker socks. So I thought I'd give them a try. I ordered a half size larger, which made the length perfect, but the width is too snug. Actually, the boot is painfully tight across the top of my foot. My foot is an average width, but I find it hard to believe even people with a narrow foot would find this boot comfortable. I certainly hope they stretch out, and can be worn because they seem well made and warm.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great lightweight warm boot bought these boots for my 13yr old daughter whom needed them for snowmobiling. even though they were rated for minus temperatures we were not sure would be warm enough since do not have removable felt liner we are used to having in the other Sorel styles and have used for years. My daughter was wanting a more stylish looking boot and more lightweight and really wanted these. She has used them twice and one was a 3 day weekend up north with minus temperatures and feet stayed warm riding all day and night. We did get them a size up so can wear a regular sock with a wool sock over it like we usually do and worked well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Warm, Comfy- the PERFECT Winter Boot I had been shopping around forever trying to find the perfect winter boot. The reviews on these were unanimous- and now that I have them and have worn them, I see why everyone is raving about them. They are very VERY warm, comfy but not too tight. They are snug around the ankles but give your toes room to wiggle. You can wear medium thick socks with them, but not room for heavy socks. I haven't needed heavy socks with them though- they are just that warm! They are light too so walking is a breeze (even though they look heavy they really are not)great boot for winter, snow and the freezing cold temps in Wisconsin!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Boots! This year has been the 3rd worst in history, for January snowfall in Chicago! I received these boots on the same day we got 8 inches of snow! (on top of the 20" already on the ground) It was 20 degrees outside. I shoveled our driveway for 30 minutes, and my feet were warm and dry. Boots are tall enough to keep the snow out, the fit is true to size and I can also put on a 2nd pair of socks, and they are not too tight. These boots are very comfortable to walk in, not too heavy on the bottom, like other boots… I like the laces; it makes it very easy to get the boots on and off. I wear them to and from work every day.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Sorel Cumberland women's winter boot These boots were so narrow with a ski sock I will have to give them away or e-bay them as the box got thrown out.. I can't return them. They were a hard to find size 8. They look really nice and if they came in a wide width it would've worked maybe, size wise. They are so stiff there is no give to them.. I went by other reviews as to the fact that they were so warm in extreme cold. I only wore them once in this Polar Vortex snowstorm to clean off my car and shovel snow in CT and my feet froze. I had to come in and change boots. So cold and narrow! Probably good for normal wear as a shoe on a cold day to the store or something but not snowshoeing or anything long time outside. They just aren't warm.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from not sure what to do with these Well, I love these and I'm a true size 8, but they actually feel a bit too roomy for a comfortable walk. I keep having this problem with winter boots and now it's almost March! I want a winter boot that is as snug as a hiking boot. I have tried these cumberlands on with a thick wool sock and they are still roomy. Looks like they are out of size 7 1/2. Can I return these to the store? I ordered them online and they came from Washington state (I live in NY). We do have a Dick's up the road, although I think they are very low on stock at this point. Sigh.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolutely Delightful! I walk 5 miles a day at the dog park. Being a dog park, there are no sidewalks. Being in Minnesota, there is ample snow and ice. The tread grips like claws in the ice. Not once have I slipped going uphill or down. The insulation is so well made, that no fancy winter socks are needed, quite comfortable in normal socks and exceedingly warm without sweating. The seams are just right on the inside that I didn't experience any rubbing of the heel as can happen in some boots. The rubber comes well over your feet to keep waterproof. Absolutely worth it!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Sorel Boots These boots are cute and comfy. I can't give any review on the warmth as we haven't had any snow or really cold weather since I got them :( That is why I gave 4 stars. They are true to size. I had another brand similar to these and they were a size 6 so that is what I got in these and they fit perfectly with a little more room in the toe area so that if I need to wear a heavier sock I can comfortably. Don't understand other reviewers having a problem with the size. Give them a try, I think you just might like them!
