Broken Backboard

Had the hoop maybe 2 years rarely used my son decided to use shot s bank shot and chunk of backboard fell and now the break continues to expand shouldn't have to buy another backboard at full price when the rest of the hoop is fine

Good For A While

After 4 years of moderate use the backboard broke, I see from the other reviews that this is a common issue. I would have expected it to be more durable.

Rim Seems Cheap

Supposed to be safe for dunking. First time it was dunked on and rim metal snaps. About 1 year old. Still bolted to back board but connection piece was flimsy like paper.

Did Not Fit

This item did not fit my basketball system, and the return procedure is horrendous.

Great Product, But……..

Hi, I just recently purchased a backboard and rim combo set along with a U- turn lift system. While the products are amazing, I wanted to give you a 5 star rating, but I didn’t because of the assembling was difficult and confusing. I spent over 7 hours putting everything together. There has to be a better way. Either more pieces need to already assembled or assigned a QR code with the instruction manual so it can be viewed online and zoomed in or add a link to a video of it being assembled. I love the finished product! The problem was finishing it…. I Just wanted to give you guys an honest opinion and review of my experience.

Broken Backboards

Hey Spalding, it's obvious this backboard has an issue with the backboards breaking because the poly is too thin and insufficient support/bracing. What are you doing to fix this issue and make it a reliable product?

Cracked Backboard

Excited when I Purchased this until backboard broke from a bank shot

Very Disappointed

I bought and installed a year ago and the glass just broke into a million pieces for some unknown reason. Apparently you have to purchase an extended warrnaty for any coverage from Dicks so beware. When I contacted customer service they were unable to tell me whether I could order a replacement even at my cost. Told me I would have to go to a store and ask. Avoid Dicks!

The Basket Ball Just Went Through My Back Board :(

The basket ball just went through my backboard. We have not used that much and the ball just went through it making a huge hole and multiple cracks. My daughter who really liked it when we installed it is not happy and we are not happy. I hope Spalding backs it up somehow.
