Prior to purchasing these earplugs, I had tried the wax kind that you form to fit your ear, and I also used a swimming cap which did not cover my ears. I had just finished my 2nd round of antibiotics for my 2nd attack of "swimmer's ear" when I purchased these and surprisingly, they did the trick. They keep water out of my ears. I've been using them now for 2 mos. with no incident of swimmer's ear. I no longer use the swimmer's cap. The only thing I rely on are these Speedo Ergo Ear Plugs. What a simple solution at such a low price! No longer visiting the doctor for swimmer's ear!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Speedo ear plugs They work perfectly in keeping water out of the ears and are very comfortable. I swim 4-6 days a week and these ear plugs are very durable.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Ergo Earplugs by Speedo This was used by a 15 year old girl with average size ears. Although they did work they became painful quickly. She is on swim team and is in the water for approximately 1.5 hours a day. The product pushes up on the top part of the inner canal as well as making a sucking feeling. If it came it different sizes it may work better but this is a one size fits all. It may also be better for those needed a quick dip in the pool with out getting water in the ears. We were really hopeful these would work to avoid constant ear infections but we went back to the smash wax for now.

I was told on the phone that I could try them to see if they would work, but when I arrived at the store I was told I could not try them for fit. So I bought them and they were completely useless. They weren't much money -- but it was money utterly wasted. Mel Livatino

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Water-Stopper! I spend a lot of time training in the pool(Ironman)and used to never wear ear plugs. Water getting stuck in ear and ear aches started happening to me more frequently so decided to try the Speedo Ergo Ear Plugs and never had that problem since I started using them. Very comfortable and I don't even think about them being in my ears anymore, just seems natural and keeps the water out!
