It's tight and form-fitting, just as a speedo brief should be, to minimize drag while swimming at the gym. I got a dark blue one, and a white one. The white one is actually thicker and more durable than the dark blue one and as such is just as opaque as the dark blue one. With the blue one, all that's covering your bum is a single, gauzy layer, while the white one feels less risque as it has two additional layers covering your bum. Despite the name, the side panels of these suits are more like 2'', not 1''. Still, looks much better than the typical 3'' briefs. You just have to have nice legs and butt to show off, because this suit exposes your bare thighs and part of your bum. The speedo does ride up a bit and have to adjust it after diving, but that's expected for any skimpy swimsuit.
