Ended up returning because I purchased this to use with a kayak I ordered from Dicks. Dicks cancelled my kayak order without even consulting me. Also, this was not even usable with my vehicle but was told by sales clerk that it would work,

Got The Job Done With Some Mods!
I have a Mazda CX-5 without roof rails so I needed a simple solution to mount my kayak on the car to get it from store back to home. This did just that. Research what you need and what your car can accommodate before buying. I watched a video on YouTube for a SportRack carrier that used the "quick loops" instead of tow hooks. Turns out THAT was the model I would need because the car doesn't have tow hooks either which this kit intends for you to use. The day before I picked up the kayak, I picked up Seattle Sports Quick Loops at another store. In the parking lot of Dick's I modded the straps to attach the quick loops for the bow and stern ties. Worked (more or less) like a charm. Pros: Worked to get the kayak home (with modifications because my car doesn't have tow hooks.) Cons: Fraying straps and getting the blue straps through the rails in the first step was a pain. I used a thin dowel I had in my car to guide them through. Took one star off because the strap edges are beginning to fray after one use. I'll add a thin layer of glue to them to ensure I can still get them through the cam buckles.

Works Great On Any 4 Door Vehicle
Bought this to use on my wife or daughter's car when we needed an extra vehicle and kayak/paddleboard. Have used it on my daughter's 2003 Saturn Ion SC3 and it works great, it secures nicely to the vehicle and then the kayak/paddleboard secures to the bars of the carrier. There is no movement when driving at highway speeds and is easy enough to use that my daughter was able to secure her kayak without any help, once I lifted it onto the roof. Just need to get the kayak roller for her car and then she will be able to load everything up herself.

Buckled My Roof
Not too happy. I think I should have just gotten a pair of roof rack rails instead.

Good Product
Product is a great and cheap alternative to expensive roof racks. I was able to transport my Kayak efficiently and effectively and it didn’t move to much nor scratch my roof on a compact sedan.
