Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for Heart Rehab! After open-heart surgery, I had to join a Cardiac Care Exercise class for rehab. I was doing well, until they gave me the weights for arm curls. Both of my shoulders (left is a reverse-replacement...not good...long story), and the rotator cuff in the right one is gone, so needless to say it is EXTREMELY PAINFUL! Not being able to use the weights, my therapist told me to try the resistance tube. I got the light one, so I wouldn't strain my shoulders too much when pulling it up, and it is working pretty well. I am able to at least do more with the tube then I could do with the weights. It has been very helpful.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Resistance Quality Ready to use right out of the box I found this a good beginning for one exploring the growing resistance movement in muscle toning. It is a quality product in all respects. My doctor suggested I try resistance training so I began with this one because it was well packaged and economical. I plan on increasing my inventory with increasing resistance values in their chain of products. Has proven to be easy to use with a nice written instruction set included.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love the fact that you can adjust to preference This light band is great for beginners to intermediate. I love the fact that once you've grown out of the light band you can easily use the "door holder" piece with heavier bands. It's very veratile

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great tool for a light to moderate cardio workout all the while effectively stretching and improving the tendon to muscle relationships throughout the upper torso. I am a dedicated caded lure fisherman, which means that I can make up and sometimes beyond a couple of thousand cast in a day depending on what technique(s) or type of equipment (conventional or fly) are employed in the duration afield. I also have recently been diagnosed with long-term Lyme Disease and the unfortunate onset of type 2 diabetes of which I have been fighting for more years than I wish to admit because I went too many years without even being told that I was borderline for the condition. Apparently the combination of the two with some of the medications that I take have caused my muscles to degrade and my ligaments or tendons if you will to become extremely rigid, which is very painful without the use of this tool. I chose it over other similar products because of the different elastic material and because it came as a kit with a door accessory, so I can effectively take with me when I travel, except on a plane in a carry-on of course. Elastics were recommended in a lot of the research and has proven effective to the point that I can workout my entire upper torso (and more see the manufacturer's website for more) to the point that I can even relieve the tension in my neck all the way down across the shoulders, which eliminates the need to use my massages that DSG unfortunately put on clearance. I also have seen reported that the GOAT (and I hate to admit that being a life-bred NY Giants fan) Tom Brady credits elastics as being a very important key to his abilities, along with deep-tissue massage techniques that he uses that also help minimize aches and pains after a game. I am actually starting to agree with Mr. Brady as to elastics effectiveness after a few months using just this device without any free weights or machines, and I can use up to four times a day at this point if my symptoms reappear. My muscles actually degraded to the point where I could not properly set a hook on some days due to the rigidity and pain that experienced, and I have been warned that my muscles could die (that is actually how doctors refer to it) as my mother has allegedly had that happen to her many years ago and she claims that she cannot lift her right arm above head with any extra weight and her left side is going too as she drops a lot of things from upper shelves, etcetera. I am now continuing to slowly lose weight at a rate of about 3 pounds per month even though I have added more protein and animal fats (mainly pork fat, as was recommended) and my total cholesterol is going down to "safer" levels, but unfortunately my blood glucose still fluctuates greatly, which I believe may be because of some kind of vitamin D issue, solely because I do see a spike after dark and on cloudy days, but I tend to go lower fast on bright sunshiny days, which is something that a few of my psychotherapists have warned me could happen after viewing my complete medical file. My one real complaint about this product is with the handles, as they are really a cheap setup, not really uncomfortable, just annoying because they slip too easily. So when I feel ready to bump up in tension I think I will choose the convertable brand that DSG sells instead who's only downside that I can forsee is that that set uses only latex elastic which can degrade rapidly dependent on time and it's usage.
